It's the PACKER BROTHERS PODCAST, in the PLAYOFFS!!!!
The Packers are going to have to do it on the road this year, in the playoffs, and they got a great start last Sunday night, beating the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field 21-16 on wild card weekend of the 2010 season.
James Starks was the star on offense, with 123 yards rushing on 23 carries (5.3 yard average). Aaron Rodgers hit nine separate targets with his 123-rated passing, and the defense contained Michael Vick and the Eagles offense for an exciting and satisfying victory. (The last road playoff victory for the Pack since the 1998 season in San Francisco!)
Next up is the much-anticipated rematch with the Atlanta Falcons in the unimaginatively named Georgia Dome, site of the painful loss suffered by the Packers back in week 12. The Packers played 'em close in that game, and maybe we've saved up enough fuel in the tank to get past the Raptors this time.
Lambeau Jack is working through the recovery from the stroke he suffered back on Christmas Eve morning, so Pigskin Paul does another great job filling in for him. Packer Pete and Lambeau Jack will be watching the game at Atlanta this Saturday night together in Jack's hospital room. Pray for a victory, Packer fans!!!
Thank you Packers.
I see no reason why they should not beat the Falcons. They (Packers) are the better team.
rootin’ for the Pack to go all the way, since my Vikings stink like old lunch meat. In fact, didn’t they have an aged salami at QB...
Get well soon, Jack!
I'm in Minocqua. Mr. Rodgers was my FF QB this season. He only pucked out on me twice and I won the FReeper Football Fantasy Crown in my first season of competition.
Now, let me tell you how that last game on Tuesday night that featured Adrian Peterson pulled me ahead to stay whipping out a 15 point deficeit in the second half.
Consider, every Chicago Bear fan I've ever asked tells me they will root for the Packers when they play any opponent besides the Bears.
In stark contrast, everytime I ask a Packer fan if they EVER pull for the Bears when they play other NFL teams? To a man they won't root for the Bears under any circumstance. Do you two ever pull for the Bears under simular circustances? And why, or why not?
Why do you think this hatred is so visceral? What excuse do you two have?
How sweet it was to see The Pack beat those dog butted Green Birds!
The only time we root for the Bears is when they are playing the Vikings, and are way behind the Packers & Vikings in the standings. Which is most years (2010 being an aberation).
Minocqua? Is that in Nicaraqua? Just kidding!
I look at the Bears as the team I love to hate as a Packer fan...I look at the Queens as the team that I just plain hate...so naturally, I root for them when they play the Queens.
BTW, liked this article linked on the website:
I only root for the Bears (or any team really) when a win for them is good for the Pack. It's hard though. When I need to root for the Bears or Vikes I constantly find myself relishing in their demise and misfortune. It's a natural reflex I guess. LOL
