... Who were the doctor(s) and nurse(s) at Kapi`Olani that delivered Barack? My ex-wife worked at the hospital and I understand the records at Kapi’Olani are impeccable. Where are the foot prints? What public records exist that can even demonstrate that Mrs. Obama was even at Kapi’Olani on the day of Barack’s birth? Talk at Kapi`Olani, would have been unabashed, the city of Honolulu at the time very racist towards black people.

Has everyone seen the letter from the man in Kenya holding a Kenya birth certificate copy of his own, made a few years ago, “identical” to Obama’s?
Is everyone here familiar with the RaceBannon story where a young Obama told a well respected FReeper that “He wanted to be President someday, and that he was born in Mombasa” ??
Has everyone seen my post with the words quoted “On August 4, 1961 Obama’s mother, father and grandmother were attending a Muslim festival in Mombassa, Kenya. Mother had been refused entry to airplanes due to her 9 month pregnancy. It was a hot August day at the festival...”.
This was new information to me and I think most others.
Does it seem to all that the information just continues to drip drip drip out ... ???

This whole birth certificate thing is really weird. While we have absolutely no idea of what is contained in any of the records that exist on this guy for the simple reason that he has, by Presidential Executive Order, effectively declared them state secrets and spent millions of legal dollars to prevent any disclosure of any of his personal information.
It’s almost as weird as people getting hold of President Bush’s dental records and time cards from 1972, just in the opposite sense.
What we do know is what does NOT exist. There is no record in any of the local hospitals that would correspond to or validate any state birth records on file. Hospitals keep excellent records for this

Well, since people really want it to be true, are clumsy enough to warp the evidence, and consciously or un- keep making stuff up, it’s hardly surprising.

I think the original “letter” gives us an unique insight into what Hawaii was like in 1961 and even into 1990, information that I was only slightly aware of —— it is a very small socitey there, and a very racist society too, and my Hawaiian girlfriend (while we lived in California) always used to laugh and call me “Haole”, and thought nothing of doing so.
I thought the parts about his ex-wife having working at “Kapi`Olani” Hospital were interesting, as were his knowledge of the various areas outside of the main city.
If these existed, don't you think they would be held up as further proof that Obama was born in Hawaii?
The lack-of-info on the guy is pretty amazing.

She could have gone to Africa by plane at 3- or 6-months pregnant... or perhaps gotten pregnant IN Africa. The state “9-months pregnant” is not exactly a constant state, which I’m sure most women who have given birth are thankful for, and it is not unusual for people to have taken trips of multiple months.

If I were accused of a crime that I did not commit and had proof would I not show proof? Simple answer. Yes I would and it would be my personal responsibility to do so as a real moral person.

The formation of a traceable oral tradition would be a reasonable expectation, given the unusualness of the situation and the highly interactive culture the writer is describing. You can make a memory hole much easier where people are not so connected. The anomalous void, the absence of a local Obama nativity legend, is intriguing indeed.

The complete lack of ANYBODY coming forward, especially with all the hoopla over the issue is curious in itself...or should be.

I agree and have often said so. There is just nothing “there” - as has been stated over and over: no witnesses, no photos, no documents, no parties, no baby bath receptions, no hospital records, fake birth certificate number out of order/ out of place; the list just goes on and on.

I was a clinical clerk in Obstetrics in 1974-5 in Brooklyn, NY. That's 13 years AFTER the purported birth of the person calling himself "Obama".
In six weeks, I delivered 69 babies MYSELF, and assisted others.
While I remember specific CIRCUMSTANCES (the first time I reached in and found a foot instead of a head, for example), I have zero recollection of the PEOPLE. If I had delivered Kanye West, or Jay Z, or Spike Lee, there is no possible way that I would know about it now.
For a high-volume practice in 1961, now fifty long years ago, I very much doubt thht a doctor or nurse would remember anything about this particular baby.

I suspect that the story is that impressionable freshman Stanley Anne Dunham got knocked up by exotic African grad student Barack Obama Sr. after what may have been little more than a one-night stand. They were married to make the baby legit (with Sr neglecting to mention the wife back home), but never actually lived as man and wife. She stayed with her parents and he pretty quickly skipped town.

No,... Nixon recorded himself just after the Watergate bugging saying that it would be possible to raise a million dollars to bribe the burglars into silence. We're very fortunate that the judge presiding over the sentencing of the burglars treated them harshly, probably knowing that they were involved in a conspiracy of unknown origin and extent.
About 65 people were convicted of felonies, many of them lawyers. Nixon surrounded himself with amoral people and got much less than he deserved.
Eighteen minutes of one tape was evidently so outrageous that it was erased multiple times to hide the content from the American people. Nixon had to have known of this obstruction of justice and it was widely believed that Nixon himself did the erasing.

I’m amazed that absolutely no one who was in that maternity ward has come forward and told the world that they were there the day O was delivered. Did mom have a room mate? Unlike today, you spent a good 3-5 days in the hospital after a normal delivery. Not one nurse, doctor, aid or patient has ever bragged about their close encounter with the future Messiah. How different from Clinton who every Tom, Dick, Harry and Sally claimed to have an up close and personal relationship. Sorry, it doesn’t add up.

Kudos, though. This is the first I’ve seen of the the argument that Obama must be foreign born because Hawaiians are chatty folk.
As one that worked labor and delivery during that era, I can tell you we did footprints on all the babies born in hospitals where I worked.
Your version may well be true.
