This Guy Was 3 Million Votes Away From Being Vice President
Three Fingers of Politics ^ | January 18, 2011 | Stupac

Posted on 01/18/2011 10:31:09 AM PST by Superstu321

John Edwards, as everyone knows is a complete scumbag, a liar, and an all around terrible human being. Just today it was reported that he knew about the money being funneled to his then mistress, Rielle “Just-call-me-Mommy” Hunter. Add this to litany of other sketchy, if not illegal, things he’s done and it truly becomes mind-blowing. This man was a U.S. Senator, and was three million votes away from becoming the Vice President of the United States. As much as I want to turn this into a “look who the Democrats are promoting as candidates” style post, you just can’t. No one had any idea this guys was such a terrible person (and if they did they’re even worse for putting up with it).

The killer is that you know he loves ANY media attention he gets, whether it’s positive or negative. I propose as part of our “new tone,” that people are talking about, we should stop talking about these sorts of people. It’s a waste of anyone’s time to sit through a news story about this clown. He serves no purpose and was nothing short of a scar on what’s left of the dignity of the Senate.

Throw him in jail already, and let him become “oh so pretty” to a prison pimp.

Nobody really cares about the Breck Girl any longer.
He is yesterday's news and no longer impactful on the national stage.
Senator Edwards doesn't represent a threat to good conservatives.

Worse than that could be that we end up with someone at the White House who might sound like a Communist, act like a communist, and be surrounded by communists, and have been mentored by a bunch of communists in his early political and educational life.

He was a scumbag - and the MSM, including the New York Times - did their best to cover for him...

You think that Algore was an improvement over Edwards? They are both cut of the same democrat vice-presidential cloth.

Unfortunately, we only found this out after the elections. Perhaps exposing and ridiculing a guy like this now will discourage others from running in the future.

You're wrong. Edwards is a great example of what the MSM is willing to do, to 'not do', and to cover for...

Much of the MSM was willing to back him to be President - not just VP.

Edward's is the poster boy for MSM Bias - and liberal corruption.

You know, for years I thought that AlGore was an idiot. A complete zero who rode his Daddy's coattails into politics, and lost a presidential election that could have been won by darn near anyone else.

Now, I'm not so sure. I'm thinking - now - that he's a very clever con artist that used his failed presidential campaign to build a sucker list of millions, which he then (ab)used to make himself very seriously rich.

Edwards would fit this mold too, I think.

yep. We'll never know why, though.

Was it because she wanted to be "Mrs. VP", with all the power, attention, and attendant trappings? Or, because she knew the public spotlight would prevent him from dumping her for the other woman? Or, did she really want to dump him on us so that she'd be rid of him? Or some other theory?

Who knows. More important is that the MSM knew all this, covered it up, and allowed themselves to get scooped by a Supermarket tabloid.

I happen to buy all my cars used from a guy I've been doing business with for over 20 years. His reputation is golden in this town.

Lawyers are necessary to an adversarial system, but at the margin they are doing far more harm than good. To remove power from lawyers and rid us of the John Edwards types, institute the English Rule. Tort lawyers react to the English Rule like vampires to a crucifix.

Well he was, when Elizabeth Edwards was his attack dog, running for FULL ON PRESIDENT of these United States, campaigning for the nomination alongside 0bama and H Clinton.

Why she did what she did is immaterial to me. But amid the hue and cry of a woman whose untimely demise made her something of a secular saint to many - I need to point out that she KNEW what a scumbag he was when he was campaigning for the D nomination and she was helping him along as best she could.

I think Edwards is more the norm for the dems.

He's the norm for politicians in general, actually -- especially those of the "career" variety. Party affiliation is only a secondary factor.

As it turns out, politicians and serial killers share traits. Both sets of people are psychopathic.

Among the traits shared by psychopaths:

Interpersonal traits include glibness, superficial charm, a grandiose sense of self-worth, pathological lying, and the manipulation of others. The affective traits include a lack of remorse and/or guilt, shallow affect, a lack of empathy, and failure to accept responsibility. The lifestyle behaviors include stimulation-seeking behavior, impulsivity, irresponsibility, parasitic orientation, and a lack of realistic life goals.

Thus, for every womanizing Bill Clinton on the D side, you'll find a Newt Gingrich among the R's. For every Ted Kennedy, you'll find a Gary Condit.

It's just that the MSM has a greater interest in exposing R's, in particular those who get "uppity" with respect to the preconceived notions of the reporters (the more ambitious of whom share many similar personality traits with the pols and perps....)

Actually it was closer than that—119,000 more votes in Ohio in 2004 and Kerry/Edwards would have had a majority in the electoral college despite Bush’s 3-million popular vote majority in the country as a whole. After the 2004 election there were Democrats who were going around claiming that Bush had stolen Ohio’s electoral votes.

That isn’t true at all. He was demonstrably a liar, a scumbag, and all around terrible human being before and during the election. Anyone that spent any time at all looking into his history knew this. After looking into his history anyone that watched more then 2 minutes of one of his speeches and thought “wow he’s a sincere, honest guy” needs to have their eyes examined while having their informed voter cards revoked.

Is it really important now that we know what a lowlife Edwards is? He is no longer a Senator and he lost his bid for President twice. If he violated laws he should be punished, and it appears that he probably will be.

We should be more concerned about how little we really know about Obama. We should be more concerned that Obama has spent almost 2 million dollars making sure that we do not know what we deserve to know about him. We should be more concerned that the lame stream media is aiding and abetting in keeping us from knowing where he was born, who his father really is, his school records at every level of his education, his passport information that allowed him to travel to Pakistan when such travel was banned, and why he has a social security number assigned to CT residents when he never lived a day of his life in CT. There is more unknowns, but these would tell us a lot if he were forced to reveal the information.

Please recall how far and wide the same media spread the false information about George Bush that was concocted by Dan Rather. When they couldn't find anything true, they merely generated something blatantly false. The media forced Bush to spend more time denying lies about himself and give Obama a free ride about revealing simple facts about himself. Simple facts that we, the unwashed masses, would reveal to anyone at anytime.

Yep, in Obama’s case they choose to ignore the elephant in the room with them because it doesn't promote their political ideology.

I vaguely remember a news story where they had recently built that huge mansion complete with indoor basketball court out in the countryside, and then Elizabeth Edwards complained about the trailer trash guy across the road who was parking his pickup truck in her view.

Typical move-in-and-complain-about-the-trashy-neighbors sort of person.

Actually the scumbag is trying to do the same thing his scumbag father, Albert Gore Sr., did; create a market for a new product then get rich off it. Senior managed to do it with a communist scumbag named Armand Hammer, who consorted with the Bolsheviks from day one. Their oil concessions built Hammer's company, Occidental Petroleum, into an economic powerhouse that then diverted money back to their bagman's (Gore Sr.) pockets. The Kennedys would be proud!
