Why is Sarah Palin Still on the Nation's Stage? (Here's a new one)
Yahoo! News ^ | January 18, 2011 | Ron Hart

Why is Sarah Palin still considered relevant in the national discourse?

It is said that at times certain celebrities are said to be famous for being famous. Is Palin relevant simply because she is relevant?

On Monday night, Palin appeared on the Sean Hannity show on Fox. She discussed the reaction of her critics, the media and the county at large to her statements following the shooting of Ariz. Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, which included the unfortunate choice of the term "blood libel".

As Palin spoke, 2.36 million people watched, and the show comfortably outdrew the ratings for the debut of Pier Morgans Tonight on CNN, which was shown at the same time. During the broadcast, Palin and Hannity were, for a period of time, the number one tweeted term in the world.

The question, again, however, is "why?" What makes Sarah Palin relevant?

Regardless of her political persuasion, Palin has demonstrated very little executive success. From 1996 through 2002, Palin was the mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, with a population of approximately 10,000 people.

Palin was elected governor of Alaska in 2005 and governing the state in 2006. In 2008 John McCain, Republican candidate for president, chose her (some would say inexplicably) as his running mate.....

She’s only relevant because the media makes her relevant and the only reason they make her relevant only because they see her as the #1 target.........they don’t do it because she is stupid and easy to mock and make fun at but because she isn’t a easy target like an establishment type who collapse everytime

Why is this any of Hart’s business? He needs to continue kissing his “messiah’s” feet. Sarah Palin can take care of herself on or off the stage. Stuff it Ronnie!

Boy is this guy a little late to the game or what? This foaming at the mouth anger from the left is a partial result of them not taking her seriously all this time, mocking her, deriding her. Meanwhile, she’s become a political power station.

He can thank MSNBC for Sarah’s popularity. Every time they bash her, her ratings go through the roof.

Too bad about Piers Morgan. His show is going to be a big flop.

He was accurate on some of it and not so accurate on other parts. Hard to discern because it was so poorly written.

The glaring stupidity of the PDS crowd is mind boggling. They shout Sarah’s name all over the airwaves, completely unprovoked, out of nowhere, and then wonder why she is still on the national stage. The world has not seen such idiots in all of history.

Not exactly Descartes Cogito ergo sum is it. More like, I know how to write therefore I do. No thought needed I guess.

Consider this. These moronic leftists who continue to 'pen' these screeds are doing it for a very simple reason. They must. In order to get a NEW position with another leftist rag or gov't job they have to be able prove that they produced a 'hit' piece on Sarah Palin. You would have logically thought that after Palin resigned the governorship the numbers of articles would have fallen off as she became less relevant to these communist assholes. No such thing.

How do you show up at WaPo or Media Matters or the State Department if you can't produce a hit piece you wrote against Palin??? You can't. It's mandated by the left. So everyone of these twit commie assholes has to write his or her 'take' on Palin. Since there are literally millions of these dweebs out there the hit pieces will continue to come,...only they will get more angry as each 'writer' attempts to out do their communist brethren.

"... which included the unfortunate choice of the term "blood libel".

The term "blood libel" has been used before, by liberal commentators smearing conservative poiticans.

Here's one example (of many -- it would be useful to see a collection of these instances, to throw back in the face of liberal beserkers):

Florida Democrat Peter Deutsch, just after the 2000 election, on CNN's Crossfire:

Let me just talk a little bit about the whole, I guess, spin from the Republicans about — which has been to me the absolute most — the worst statements I have ever heard probably in my life about anything. I mean, almost a blood libel by the Republicans towards Al Gore, saying that he was trying to stop men and women in uniform that are serving this country from voting. That is the most absurd thing and absolutely has no basis in fact at all.

maybe Palin will look to Bush’s climb as to the White House as her inspiration and template. .......................................... Putz, not Bush, Reagan!! They are even afraid to mention his name. Same ole crap rehashed. Sounds like they are running out of material. When will they learn, its what she stands for, and achieved on her own, without the usual political machinery, that make the people love her. The Republicans (RINOs) can’t win without her and they know it by now.
