Juan Williams accuses Palin of being defensive and making shooting about herself. On the day after Sean Hannitys first TV interview with Sarah Palin in the wake of the Arizona shooting, her critics (who wont be swayed no matter what) are turning out in droves to discredit her simply out of spite and ideology. On Fox News, perhaps none may be more so inclined at the moment than one Juan Williams, who appeared on the same program to analyze what he thought of Palins sympathetic reasoning. In his mind, her Hannity interview showed her as being overly defensive and obsessed with turning the national story of the shooting into one that was all about herself instead.

I can’t stand that bastid.
I think NPR should fire him.
This mantra is being sold to cover up the disgusting Funerally and first re-election event for BO.
Is Sarah peddling any Tucson T-shirts yet?
..poor Juan is out of step...he’s behind three days on the rhetoric and lib talking notes.
That anyone is still spewing this boggles my mind. The MEDIA is making this about her! She’s been trying to make it NOT about her.
so this person... was fired by npr and then get hired by fox.
and some people think this is a good thing?
i think this is a setup to infiltrate the even more liberal leaning fox.
Clarification on my own post.
It was never about her. She’s been trying to make that clear. I don’t want my words twisted and turned against me, or her for that matter.
If NPR fired Juan, he would be overly defensive and obssessd with making the problem of media censorship all about himself.
I have not seen Juan the moron in many years.
What I remember about him is his look of a dear in the headlights...Totally clueless about everything.
I true example of affirmative action employment.
Every time I think Juan is starting to see a glimmer of light, he brings me back to reality by saying something truly stupid like this.
Juan has been with Fox for a long time. That is supposedly one of the reasons npr fired him.
Wow. So all these folks jump to his defense when NPR fires him for speaking the truth? But when all the liberals and MSM say that really Sarah was behind the Tucson shooting she’s supposed to just sit back and take it? Give me a break.
I saw that and totally disagree with him. She needed to come out and defend herself. It might not have been all about her. But, the media sure was making it that way. Now some stupid shrink who left America in 2002 for New Zealand is going to try to sue her for causing the Tucson shooting. So who is making whom the center of this story? I’d say it’s the far left and the lamestream media making Sarah the center of this story and not her. It’s beyond stupid. They appear to have some kind of sick fixation on her. Like those stalkers you hear about.
Fox is attempting to show it’s Fair and Balanced. By having Juan on the payroll and allowing him to banter, it give credence to their claim. I doubt if he truly believes half of what he says. Has anyone noticed if he crosses his fingers when he gives his viewpoint/
I cant stand that bastid

Don’t feel like the Lone Ranger.
Al Sharpton without the religious angle.
8^D
Keep Juan on Fox — but they need to play a cheap laugh track that accompanies his remarks.
That would be fun!
Williams to Clift: Hey Eleanor, great hit piece on Palin. You really nailed her. After reading your column I hated her even more!
Clift to Williams: Don't be so modest Juan, you really hit her below the belt with your last piece. Those cracks about her stupid kids on top of her not even knowing where Russia is made her look like the fool she is!
Juan to Eleanor: Hey bend over baby and I'll lick your ass!
Eleanor to Juan: No, you bend over and I'll lick yours!
For DAYS these yahoos accuse her of being culpable in the shooting then when she defends herself she’s making it about her. People see through their idiocy. It’s just other idiot libs that don’t.
One of their favorite tricks was to attribute some very false, stupid statement or action to me. When I spoke up to expose the lie they would immediately go from accusing me of doing or saying whatever the lie de jour was for that round and start the drumbeat that I was too defensive. Frankly, I never figured out how to handle the ploy. It was a classic “damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't” trap.
And that's exactly what we're seeing here with Sarah and her detractors.
Biggest mistake FOX has ever made: falling for the NPR BS. Now they have an in-house RAT puppet repeating the daily KOS and DNC talking points ad nauseum. Never hire anyone you can’t fire. They are stuck with this jackass until he decides to retire.
When Juan was accused of being a bigot - he rapidly jumped to his own defense and is still showing emotion every time NPR is mentioned.
He, of all people, should know how it feels to be unjustly accused.
But, being a liberal, he cannot stop himself from criticizing a conservative.
Liberals like Whan aren’t used to politicians who fight back. Conservatives are just supposed to shut up and take it I guess.
I saw that @ hole on Fox yesterday. I think he is drunk from zero’s KOOLAID. He can take a leap at a rolling donut and I hope he hits it at full speed.
The MEDIA is the major culprit. The politicians certainly provide the rhetoric, but who disseminates it. Who disseminates it, after carefully spinning it, twisting it and filtering it to further their Leftist agenda? Without the media this coup would not have been possible.
Juan was never a clear thinker.
Had Palin remained silent the loonies would have called her inconsiderate and worse. Now that she has defended OTHERS, she is being castigated as an opportunist.
You could actually see he had to struggle to keep it up, but he did.
He was whining like a baby when NPR fired him. I felt sorry for him...for about 12 seconds and then thought maybe he had learned a valuable lesson. Wrong, there. He disgusts me.
Hey Juan!
Did you get defensive about NPR firing you?
NPR was simply protecting Muslim’s civil rights.
Why did you make it all about YOU?
People see through their idiocy. Its just other idiot libs that dont.
PRAY that is true and that they continue to expose themselves for the evil that they are.
For my part, I no longer draw a distinction between media troopers and leftist politicians. They are all part of the same machine.
You know? Ordinarily I find Juan to be intelligent, and pretty level-headed for a leftist.
This is the stupidest thing he’s ever said.
Juan. Meet shark.
Shark, Juan.
Jump on Juan...
Juan was just doing what he’s told. He’s earning his paycheck by making the news entertaining. Making the news entertainment is bad makings for those who see it as a news construct. It’s very easy to do, as the line is quite blurry between news and news entertainment. What draws viewers is the news entertainment.
They have gotten darker and scarier over the last year. hollow.
Fox were fools to hire him. He has zero following. I bet when he fills in as a guest host, ratings way down.
Juan Williams is Ed Mcmahon to Johnny Carson. Every conservative hosted newstainment show needs a counterbalance. That is why Juan was hired at Fox News full time.
I find by admitting that fact and saying “Yes I’m defensive about the fact that I’ve been falsely accused of “such and such”, now YOU are being defensive in that I’ve called you on those lies!” (then center on the 1 or 2 folks that seem to “ring lead” these issues)”But I tell you what, lets all go down to human resources to talk about our differences with each other...perhaps they’ll fire the whole lot of us!”
That type of approach usually puts the kibosh on such crap(at least it does for me), especially when your work output is good and no one can fault you on anything else substantive!
Did you find different employment and leave or were you forced out or was there a layoff?
Those eyes sure are jumpy huh? He reminds me of a large rodent.
You gotta ask yourself: "Why are they so afraid of her?"
The answer, of course, is because they know that she is eminently electable, and that her election would mark the beginning of the end of their authoritarian-socialist dreams.

This is remarkable. Every time Gov. Palin says something, anything, people go bonkers and begin spewing all sorts of inanities.
I love it when that happens.
I didn’t hear much of what Juan said. I did hear a bit of Colmes and Crowley on O’Reilly. He was spinning in circles with his rhetoric. Equivocating out his hind end. Same type of argument I hear from most indoctrinated libs when all they have is rhetoric and spin. No logic and for once BO looked grounded.
Obama speaks, people forget.
The civility argument is about something else. It's about success, and the lack of it's universal application.Liberals would ration or allocate success if they could. They can't so it's unfair. It's unfair so it makes them angry. Their anger consumes them. This consuming anger makes them say or do anything to compensate.
Liberals are so angry over their inability to succeed unless they lie, cheat, steal, or hoodwink, that it makes them crazy.
No matter what, I like Juan Williams.
He is of West Indian culture (born in Panama) and not one of those radical black hating whites. We owe a lot to the West Indians here in Panama because they made the building of the Panama Canal possible though many, many of these heroes died in the process.
When I think of the following, I always have a good laugh: His father was a boxing coach, which means if Juan were aggravated enough at someone, he could rearrange that persons face within seconds.
He is a good man. One may not agree with some of his political views; but many times, we dont agree amongst ourselves.
The problem here is that he didnt say he loved Sarah.
Juan learned that speaking the truth is hell.
No, Juanita, tards and tard media made it about Sarah.
The Dad was nicknamed Cleave, after Mr. Cleaver. What a wonderful man. He knew what was going on and would advise me in private to ignore them, that he knew better and it didn't affect his respect for me or my work one bit. I stayed for 10 years and left only when he passed away and I knew there would be a feeding frenzy for control of the company with his passing. Come to find out after leaving he had withstood a hostile attempt at a leveraged buyout during my tenure and to avoid being in a cash and asses rich target for such things he established an ESOP and made contributions of behalf of EVERY employee for years. He did this unbeknown to all but a few of the employees. Five years after leaving I received over $100,000 when the company was sold to a competitor.
Several years later I received another sizable check, this time because one of the sons had spend over 10 years fighting IRS in court on behalf of the company and finally prevailed. The proceeds were distributed in the same split as the ESOP proceeds. Don't mean to bore you with details, but I can't refer to that time in my life without speaking well of Cleave and his wife, two sons and daughter. I have seen full-grown men cry when his name comes up in conversation.
I brought up the whole thing just to express support for Sarah. I know, firsthand, just how difficult it can be!
Juan just keep saying all the wrong things — unless he is what I always thought — liberal progressive. Last time for me to read anything about what he says; have already started turning off the radio and TV when he comes on.
