“...and the illuminist elitists are not going to take her candidacy lying down.”

Which is why we need to stand up and hold fast. We cannot allow this election to be stolen from us yet again. They want a huckabee or a romney...and so does the left. Either would lose. It would be mccain II. McCain did not lose because of Sarah and everyone knows it...including mccain.

". . . They want a huckabee or a romney...and so does the left. . ."

I agree. If, during the run up to 2012, you want to know who the worst rino/republican candidates are, jut watch the left. If their official spokespeople (the MSM and the administration) begin to make statements concerning any rino/republican candidate as to how tough a campaign they would run or how difficult it would be for the little tin god to somehow overcome them in the general election...you can be pretty sure you have a loser on your hands.

And despite this site's "straw poll", AS IT STANDS TODAY, Ms. Palin will not be successful in running against the little tin god. She simply does not have nearly enough "mass" among the likely voters.

If she is to 1) announce her candidacy, and 2) mount a successful campaign, I'd suggest that - starting today - she begin to do the following. Remember: THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION!

1. Keep working with the speech coach; after the stirring speech she gave the other night, the coach and Ms. Palin are working wonders.
2. Begin to rise above the "personal attacks"; they are not going to stop. And as she gets closer to announcing her candidacy and for all the time afterwards, they'll increase in number and severity. It's time to step up or elevate above the fray.
3. Sharpen her debating skills...really really sharpen them.
4. Start traveling to foreign countries (in particular, those not terribly friendly to the US). She needs exposure at that level - I'm thinking of visits to China, Russia, Saudia Arabia, Japan, Afghanistan, Iraq and the like. Let's see if her "star power" holds. Imagine earning praise from the likes of China's premier, Putin, King Abdullah, and others!!!
5. Accept invites to...or demand time on...the left's MSM. Might as well get into the ring with them. I've no doubt at all that she can hold her own against the worst of them.
6. Begin to formulate and announce well thought out and reasoned domestic and foreign policy statements. She has all she needs in her own moral code. It's time to put them into policy statements and "attack" (yes, ATTACK) the current faux administration. They must be put on the defensive and kept there.
7. Begin to concentrate on winning over the "undecided" voters. And that will take the hiring of the meanest, most hard bitten conservative campaign manager she can find. She's got to turn her public image around, and that means changing the minds of the undecideds; not "preaching to the choir."
8. Begin to limit her time on FOX; she no longer needs the exposure; and in fact, it may be causing more harm than good over time. Besides, she changes no minds when using that particular "vehicle", and she must begin to change minds....lots of them.

There are probably other positive steps she could be taking. But right now...AS IT STANDS...if she is the strongest conservative (as of yet unannounced) candidate; then the little tin god, with hardly lifting a political finger...is going to be back for four more years.

If that is the case, we have to make double damn sure we keep the house, and take back the senate. Otherwise, the damage this current administration will cause over the next six years may well be impossible to recover from.

Then...it's good bye America.

Her PR is just fine... all that she needs to do... is do what will come naturally... she will destroy these machine criminals in the debates... and that is the fact of the reality that romney and the other dims posers have to face.

Governor Palin has what it takes.

You can be sure of that.

Its up to her to decide whether she should alter her colloquial methods and go over to statesman speak.

You gotta remember , she is sittin' there in Beck's studio bein' just who she is, a self made American, born without a silver spoon in her mouth, just like we need. This is no time to have insecure penchants because of elitists who sound good and say only what everyone wants to hear. We are far too used to that.

Could she stare down the North Koreans?

" You Betcha!"

Not only that, she would lay a hurtin' on 'em if they pushed like they just have. She would not call the UN. Thats good enough for me. " Stand with our Allies!"( But Obama , you see wants to redefine and revise history, milions will die as a result, Sarah will not allow it in her goodness.)

Photobucket

I think what she says is great, and I love the way she says it.I certainly won't become an apologist for her quality of speech.LOL. But then, I came up through an environment just like hers, with deer and moose hangin' in the wood shed every fall, pickin' fiddle heads , strawberries, blue berries, raspberries and cranberries, fishing for salmon. That's another world from what most Americans know. And it is a good world. That's what her speech quality reminds me about.Sophisticated America has lost touch with the strength of our land, that good earth beneath our feet. That's part of sophisticated America's burgeoning malaise. It is that strength that makes Sarah Palin almost invulnerable.

She is exactly what priggish, overly sophisticated America needs. And that is why the liberal fascists are scared to death of her. Sarah Palin is just not sophisticated enough for them to destroy her. Sophistication equals attack-ability. They can't get a handle on her and so resort to desperate measures of lying, misquoting, scurrilous attacks on her children. She just breezes right through them.Do you get that part? I think its a riot of mal-attempted defamation. No conservative should fall for it.

This attempted defamatory process is also highly entertaining and most Americans actually have evolved to really love her after being entertained. The more she is attacked, the more her support grows.

The enemies of America have a tremendously skilled and effective adversary in Sarah Palin. If she aces liberal fascists like she has shown us , can you imagine how she would handle bad boys like Kim Jong Un? I would pay to see that. As a matter of fact, I WILL PAY to see that, as much as I can afford to, right into Governor Palin's campaign fund.(I may work for her campaign directly, the resume is in.)

BTW, other rustic figures of America where denigrated in the same way as Sarah is today.. There were several, but Congressman David Crockett comes to mind. How many of us think he would NOT have made a good president? Its really laughable. He would have made a fine president. So will Governor Palin.

They have left no stone unturned to find one, just ONE, thing wrong with her, and they can not do it because it doesn't exist. All they have found is graciousness, intelligence, honesty, humanity, strength, conviction, patriotism, and faith.

Right on, right on, right on! < /Rush voice>

The other thing that Palinistas need to understand and deal with is her hard disapproval numbers.

The doofus' approval ratings went up 8 points in a single week because he gave a tolerable speech. Reagan trailed Carter by 30 points in the run-up to the '80 election. Polls this early mean little.

What I do know, from living a little, is that success breeds success. If Sarah is the Republican nominee, she will be a "winner," and the latest thing, and the apolitical middle loves to jump on the-latest-winner-thing bandwagon.

I'm not so sure. How many interviews did Odumbo do with FOX? I'm sick of playing their games. It's time to fight fire with fire. Her alternative media strategy has worked well. I see no reason to change it. They're going to criticize her regardless.

Remember '08? They dogged her about not doing LSM interviews, and then when she did one, they set her up. No. Screw them. Make them come to her. This strategy has already proven effective. She was the subject of two reasonable articles in Time magazine and the NY Times recently. There can be little doubt that she set the ground rules ahead of time.

". . . she will destroy. . . "

And I believe you've just hit on one of the issues she must work very hard on and then face...and that is, entering the "lion's den" if you will....and facing her attackers head-on - repeatedly - and vanquishing them....read: MSM.

I hate to say this, but the little tin god is a master at this....an absolute master.

And as of now....these events are in the future for Ms. Palin.

If she decides not to run (and I would not blame her), then the question/event and the ability is moot.

I do not believe her "alternate" media strategy has worked well at all. And "two recent reasonalble articles" is certainly not a ground swell of support, is it?

She needs to attract far more voters...millions more. At this point in time, she simply does not have the number of votes to win a nomination much less an election.

It is true that her supporters are rabid and can be counted on...but they don't draw other voters to go along with them....and without millions more voters ready to pull the lever for Ms. Palin...she simply cannot win.

So....sticking with FOX as the "mouthpiece" will certainly please the Palin base...but it does absolutely nothing to win more voters....to change minds....to attract and win over the "undeciced".

Hell....using your analogy....religions would have had a very tough time spreading anywhere at all if the missionaries preached in their own churches to their own people and hung around waiting for the rest of the world to come to them!!!

No....they went out and "entered the lion's den" carrying their message with them...and many paid the price.

So it must be with Ms. Palin. She has the zeal; she has the message; she has some support.

It's time to begin the hard missionary work.

These polls are a mile wide and an inch deep. Once Sarah does some debates, where people can see her sans media filter, people will see her as she is. Our country is 40% conservative, 20% liberal, and 40% apolitical. The silent majority will naturally gravitate to her, and the apolitical will follow the strong horse.
