... and then Politico reports something like this as 'news'.
Well today, it is talkradio’s job now to pick everything apart.
19%? Oh boy...truly a horrible poll.
I looked up the company that did the polling-Knowledge Networks. Of the 4 people on the board of directors, I looked up 3 of them (I didn’t bother looking up the 4th.) One was located in San Francisco, One was in San Jose, One was into “green technologies”. I think this poll is not representative of the population, do you?

He also wondered why the president’s speech writers would give it the same title as a book by Newt Gingrich.

The state run media would give him rave reviews if he’d walked out and peed on the stage.
I watched Anderson Cooper in the middle of the night (obviously a rerun), and while they DID state that the SOTU was a huge hit, the reporter (a black guy whose name I forgot) did state a few times that it was primarily democraps who were polled, as they were likely the only ones watching.
I’m not used to hearing the MSM admit to such a one-sided polling sample!
What speech? I avoided it like the plague.
“19%? Oh boy...truly a horrible poll”
For Obama- it shows an exceptionally large number of people just don’t care what he says. Only his fans watched.
The spin Politico tries to put on the results is hilarious.

Is Thinking Obsolete?

Yes indeed, Yahoo news joins the chorus:
The samplings of speech watchers:
CNN: 19% GOP; 39% Dem; 42% Indie
CBS: 25% GOP; 44% Dem; 31% Indie
What result would anyone think would come from this????
But that is who watched the thing.
The big news in the polls is that few people who aren’t Obama fans watched it. IE: it wasn’t important.
Still waiting on Neilsen ratings
The reason Obama’s SOTU address gets such high marks is because most Americans don’t know their donkey from a hole in the ground. Most vote the way their parents and grandparents did, one straight party ticket or the other straight party ticket. They are unable to think for themselves and the last twenty years they are not voting for their own party they are voting against the other party. The tea party members are the exception. Most are former GOPers who saw their representatives getting away from party fundamentals and basic tenets of the GOP. They are the smart ones. While many democrats felt the same way about their party they were not smart enough to do anything about it. Just goes to prove you can’t fix stupid!

Not very clear, it looks like 20 some million viewers- that would be the smallest audience ever! (But I’m not sure I’m interpreting the numbers correctly. )

Check the comments to the article at Politico for a real laugh. Even they get it!
