Giuliani: Some Tea Partiers Are “A Little Crazy”
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | January 27, 2011 | Walter Hudson

Posted on 01/27/2011 9:35:18 AM PST by Walter Scott Hudson

Rudy Giuliani, the former New York mayor and 2008 Republican presidential candidate, talked Tea Party... in a lively interview with CNN's Piers Morgan that [aired] at 9 ET Monday night.

Overall, the Tea Party is a "good" movement, Giuliani said, but it has also attracted "a couple of people that are a little crazy ... "

As an active member of the Tea Party movement in Minnesota, I may be expected to take issue with Giuliani's assertion. However, one of the charms of the Tea Party is its defiance of expectation. I actually agree with the mayor.

There are, in fact, a couple people in the Tea Party that are a little crazy. There is a sound explanations for their presence, and for my ability as a Tea Party activist to acknowledge them.

Giuliani suffers from several neurological and moral deficiencies. Still, for the most part, the pain receptors in his butt are in good shape for when Satan's minions start poking him with pitchforks.

Other than that he's a just another good'ol boy eh!

Look, the left has a PR machine that cranks out letters - letters they say are from conservatives - (some liberal who hates us but attended ONE tea party) and holds himself out as a ‘member’... Then the hate letter is sent to those on the line, members of the MSM, Republicans and Democrats alike. Rush caught the game years ago - many never catch it...

The GoP is about to be cast to the side of the road if it falls for any of the Rinos amongst us.. it will end up alongside the carcass of a braying ass in a ditch of their own making.

Let them drink TEA.

It's funny. I've been to a number of Tea Party events. They've all been very social so I'm sure I've spoken to at least 100 people whom I otherwise would not have encountered. I'm not talking about "How are you?" conversations. These have all been about signs I was carrying or the other person was carrying, or literature they were handing out. Every one of these people was well spoken and well informed. I haven't met a single person at these events who was even slightly "off." Giuliani doesn't know what he is talking about and almost certainly has never been to one of these events.

Lets see....

* The Republican and Democrats have ran the country into a bottomless economic pit.

* Our standard of living is nose diving.

* Millions have entered illegally through our lawless violent borders during war time.

* Tens of millions of American are out of work, millions have lost their jobs, homes, investments, retirements, medical benefits, businesses etc...

But the Tea Party people are crazy?

Tokyo Rose would be proud of the political insiders operating in the U.S. today.

Of course he can’t name even one.

The REAL problem is that, like all northeastern elites, he is made very uneasy by this product of flyover land, a mushrooming grassroots movement over which he has no control, and which offers no social strata based on what school one attended, or who one knows.

Thank you Mayor, you’re dismissed.

Every group of ten or twenty people has a couple of members who are a little crazy. That's just human nature.

That said, I think Rudy should provide concrete examples of what he means here. I find the tea partiers a heck of a lot saner than most.

When people are attracted on the basis of common sense (and the tea parties are actually parties of common sense), they tend to be significantly saner than the rest.

I wonder if he means the tea partiers are a little more colorful or colloquially outspoken...that I would certainly agree with. Tea partiers are regular Americans and Americans come from such a wide spectrum of personalities and cultures that they are guaranteed to appear "quaint" to someone from a different culture (and folks sometimes think "quaint" is a bit "crazy" though it most certainly is not).

Rudy obviously needs to attend more family reunions.

Rudy, you might be right but that is what LOVE does to one. People of the Tea Party LOVE their Country first, not the POWER over their Country. You should start to feel some of that LOVE, its a good thing.

It could apply to Moochelle as well, but I’m not going to say what the “G” might stand for.

it has also attracted "a couple of people that are a little crazy ... "

A couple of people out of several million. Not bad.

And when ever they show up at a Tea Party, they are asked to leave. And escorted out if they don't. Gently but firmly

The ratio of crazies in the leftist camp is much MUCH higher.
