Four-hundred lib rabbis the kind that give sanctimonious sermons about the environment at Westchester synagogues have banded together to slam Glenn Beck with a $100K ad in the Wall Street Journal. According to the clerics, Beck has been unfairly attacking George Soros for collaborating with the Nazis in WWII when the billionaire was a fourteen-year old something that Soros himself admits and, incredibly, doesnt feel guilty about.
Steve Kroft of 60 Minutes interviewed Soros about his youth. Given the rabbis WSJ ad, it seems worth reprinting a transcript of a significant part of that interview here:
KROFT: (Voiceover) And you watched lots of people get shipped off to the death camps.
Mr. SOROS: Right. I was 14 years old. And I would say that thats when my character was made.
KROFT: In what way?
Mr. SOROS: That one should think ahead. One should understand andand anticipate events and whenwhen one is threatened. It was a tremendous threat of evil. I mean, it was aa very personal experience of evil.
KROFT: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who swore that you were his adopted godson.
Mr. SOROS: Yes. Yes.
KROFT: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from the Jews.
Mr. SOROS: Yes. Thats right. Yes.
KROFT: I mean, thatsthat sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many years. Was it difficult?
Mr. SOROS: Notnot at all. Not at all. Maybe as a child you dontyou dont see the connection. But it wasit created nono problem at all.
KROFT: No feeling of guilt?
Mr. SOROS: No.
KROFT: For example that, Im Jewish and here I am, watching these people go. I could just as easily be there. I should be there. None of that?
Mr. SOROS: Well, of course I cI could be on the other side or I could be the one from whom the thing is being taken away. But there was no sense that I shouldnt be there, because that waswell, actually, in a funny way, its just like in marketsthat if I werent thereof course, I wasnt doing it, but somebody else wouldwouldwould be taking it away anyhow. And it was thewhether I was there or not, I was only a spectator, the property was being taken away. So theI had no role in taking away that property. So I had no sense of guilt.
Wow. All I can say is wow. That lack of guilt has always been astounding to me and an indication of who Soros really is. (Hello, rabbis.)
Nevertheless, these goody-goody rabbis think Beck is the problem, not Soros. They blame Beck for going over the top in his speech (where have we heard that before?), misusing the memory of the Holocaust, etc., but no word of the misuse of speech by Soros-funded MoveOn.org that famously made a video comparing George Bush to Hitler, something that has been scrubbed from the Internet but can be found here.
Talk about misusing the memory of the Holocaust. But I guess it wasnt worth $100K.
There's some great comments after the article.
I doubt any Jewish Freeper deems thems actual rabbis.
I absolutely agree and one of the comments state something like they’re Soros paid flunkies.
maybe its an unofficial franchise infringement issue
I’m guessing that $100,000 came to the Rabbis from Soros to defend Soros???
Chrissy Matthews has these guys on now. Chrissy is insane. He was talking Palin Vs. Bachmann and his head was about to explode. It was pure entertainment.
No doubt that’s correct.
It can't come soon enough for this RAT bastard.
I refuse to watch Chrissy but enjoy reading about him, he most certainly is insane. LOL!
The Rabbis are worse than he is.
A bunch of lib suicidal Yids just spent $100,000 in advertising for Beck.
Good on 'em.
Do it again!
I bet you dollars to donuts Soros’ money is behind these so-called rabbis.
Maybe they got their rabbi degree mail order.
Reminds me of the Roman Catholic “Nuns” who demand to be priests.
There are many Jews and nonJews who call themselves Rabbi just to make a point. Most notable are the gays. For some reason there are many male and female homosexuals who use the term Rabbi, even though homosexuality is explicitly forbidden under any definition of Judaism. Usually, these people are devout atheists and only use the term Rabbi to further their agenda. There are examples of this in all religions.
For example, women are not allowed to lay teffilin. However, these female rabbis will make a point to lay teffilin even though they do not observe any other element of Judaism just in protest.
So yes, as in all religions, everyone calling himself/herself a yogi is not necessarily a yogi in the traditional sense and definition of the title.
The more polarity the better. It’s time Americans choose which side they’re on.
these are leftwing rabbis who are anti-israel.
These rabbis are bought and paid for by Soros. If there is a real-life Dr. Evil, Soros is it.
>>”Nevertheless, these goody-goody rabbis think Beck is the problem, not Soros.”<<
They see their cashbox disappearing and cannot stand the thought of it happening.
It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who call themselves Jews and are certainly intelligent people align themselves with socialists who tried to exterminate them!
The same people support obama and the rest of the progressive pigs who not only hate Israel but are actively supporting the Is-Slime scum who would eliminate every Jew if they could.
They are the same people who hate our 2nd Amendment when had they been armed in Germany the outcome of their families might have been significantly better.
It is amazing how such large numbers have become the enemy within and George Soros is their puppet master.
Indeed. It's a point Aaron Zelman (God rest his soul), late of the Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (of which I am a Gentile member) used to make all the time.
I would make a bet none of these Jews have numbers tattooed on their arms.
I agree and would bet none of their close relatives did either.
And they paid Rupert Murdoch to do it!
Really? How strange.
The nuns are taking out ads attacking right wing Nazi sympathizers? Who knew?
“The nuns are taking out ads attacking right wing Nazi sympathizers? Who knew?”
What are you talking about?
REFERENCE Israeli Former Israeli President Convicted of Rape

JERUSALEM (AP) Former President Moshe Katsav was convicted Thursday of raping an employee when he was a Cabinet minister, the most serious criminal charges ever brought against a high-ranking official in Israel and a case that shocked the nation. Katsav, 65, likely faces from four to 16 years in prison for the crimes, which included two counts of raping an employee in 1998 when he was tourism minister and lesser counts of indecent acts and sexual harassment involving two other women who worked for him when he was president. Katsav served as a minister in several right-wing Likud governments before he was elected president, a largely ceremonial post, in 2000.
He has denied the rape charges, claiming he was a victim of a political witch hunt and suggesting he was targeted because he comes from Israels Sephardic community. Sephardic Jews, of Middle Eastern origin, were for decades an underclass.
Katsav was born in Iran and immigrated to Israel as a child. A somber Katsav left the courtroom without commenting, surrounded by his legal team. He was ordered to surrender his passport while awaiting sentencing at a date that has not yet been set.
Katsav can appeal the verdict, but legal experts said Israels Supreme Court was unlikely to overturn such a sweeping conviction. A presidential pardon is also highly unlikely because of the severity of the offenses. In his ruling, the judge said Katsavs defense was full of lies.
Katsavs son Boaz vowed his father would clear his name. We will continue to walk with our heads high and all the nation with Gods help, will know that father, the eighth president of the state of Israel, is innocent, he said. One of Katsavs lawyers, Avigdor Feldman, said he hopes his client will appeal, but he has not yet decided how to proceed. I dont know how strong he is, how long he can continue this saga, Feldman said.
Katsavs case initially broke in 2006, when the then-president complained that a female employee was extorting him. The woman then went to police with her side of the story, detailing a series of sexual assaults and prompting other women to come forward with similar complaints.
According to the indictment, Katsav forced one woman to the floor of his office at the Tourism Ministry in 1998 and raped her. A second time that year, he summoned her to a Jerusalem hotel to go over paperwork and raped her on the bed in his room. The indictment alleged that Katsav tried to calm his victim by saying: Relax, youll enjoy it.
The indictment also alleged that he harassed two women during his term as president, embracing them against their will and making unwanted sexual comments. On Katsavs 60th birthday in 2005, an assistant offered congratulations. He then hugged her at length, sniffing her neck, according to the indictment. She complained to police, and the indictment said Katsav later tried to persuade her to change her testimony, earning him an additional charge of obstruction of justice.
The conviction by a three-judge panel was widely praised as a victory for Israels legal system and for womens rights. The court sent two clear and sharp messages: that everyone is equal and every woman has the full right to her body, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement. He called the verdict a sad day for Israel and its citizens. The conviction capped a four-and-a-half year saga that stunned Israelis, both with its lurid details and bizarre twists and turns.
Katsav resigned in 2007, two weeks before his seven-year term expired, under a plea bargain that would have required him to admit to lesser charges of sexual misconduct. He was replaced by former prime minister Shimon Peres. But in a dramatic reversal in April 2009, Katsav rejected the deal, which would have kept him out of jail, and vowed to clear his name in court.
Around that time, he held a bizarre news conference in which he lashed out at prosecutors and the media and denied any wrongdoing. His erratic behavior, in which he shook in anger, waved a computer disc that he said proved his innocence and screamed at reporters in the room, raised questions about his state of mind at the time. The president in Israel is head of state but a largely ceremonial post, representing the country at ceremonies around the world.
The post, filled by parliament, is traditionally given to an elder statesman as a reward for years of public service. Katsavs case sparked a high-profile campaign by womans right groups. On Thursday, hundreds of women stood outside the courtroom holding signs against Katsav and chanting: The whole nation knows Katsav is a criminal. Prosecutor Ronit Amiel said the verdict sent a strong message that victims of abuse of power should not keep silent. This day is not a happy day. It is not an easy day, she said.
Oren Gazal-Ayal, a professor of criminal justice at Haifa University, called the verdict a badge of honor for the countrys legal system. I think we should be very proud of the Israeli justice system, he said. He said that while Katsavs crimes could carry a total of nearly 40 years in prison, under Israels legal practices, sentences are served concurrently, so the maximum penalty would not exceed 16 years, the top penalty for the rape convictions. The conviction was the latest in a series of high-profile cases against Israeli officials.
Former Israeli Finance Minister Avraham Hirchson is currently in prison after being convicted of embezzling more than $600,000 from a workers union. Former Justice Minister Haim Ramon was convicted in March 2007 of forcibly kissing a female soldier. Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is currently standing trial on corruption charges.
What’s wrong with reporting Katsav was convicted?
It just shows that, unlike America’s Bill Clinton, when Israeli politicians rape someone, they go to prison.
I’m Israeli and not ashamed of that at all, not is any Israeli.
Name a country in the Middle East that has a strong enough democracy that a president can be convicted of a legitimate crime, and there is no revolution: there’s one -— Israel.
That’s a stout testimate to our democracy.
Israel’s democracy, and sense of justice, is superior to most anyone else’s.
Because if anyone does, including Glenn Beck, they just have to cry: 'ANTI-SEMITE HATE SPEECH', and the the DOJ's Special Jewish Division on (cough-bullshit) 'hate crimes' will go after them.
Not to mention the Anti-Semite, Hustler-In-Chief, Abe Foxman, and his ADL -- plus his whore for hire, Morris Dees and his bs SPLC will raise the usual stink to defend these, 'rabbis', if anyone says a thing against them.
