People are misinterpreting the Time cover. Progressives calling obama “Reaganesque” are actually making a subtle criticism. Who was Reagan according to the left? He was a simpleton who suffered from Alzheimers. Ergo, obama is not that smart after all. The ISM (Irrelevant Stream Media) will do anything to further their agenda. As they become more desperate they will use increasingly irrational arguments. This will result in their becoming more irrelevant. Comparing President Reagan to Steve Urkel is truly pathological.

Sometimes I think the ‘progressives’ do this just to piss of the conservatives.
What do they know about self governance?

No one ever compared Reagan to anyone else, likewise Lincoln or Washington. Reagan was Reagan.
This latest ploy to compare Obama to great leadership shows he has not earned a title on his own even yet. I bet he’s becoming more and more bitter by the day.

Well, agree to point; but think cover designed for more than one message. The Left will have it's comfort giving a 'skew' here, for sure. But do think the larger intent is their believing they can remake Obama image and easily ( and arrogantly) 'fool the eye' of their target voters and advance his popularity and his agenda.

The Left is always a 'magic show'. Certainly 'change we can believe in ' meant something quite different to many voters (so fooled) than it did to the radical Left and those of us who knew the 'who/what' of Obama.

Only Obama could make a contest of 'Freedom' and make it's loss; sound like a winning proposition. Yes, all these people 'for the American Way' and NOT, of course.
