Up here in Toronto we have a wonderful toll highway built for highspeed but they insist on keeping the speed limits at 100kph (~60mph), yet the normal flow of traffic when the cops aren't there is around 130kph (~80mph), sometimes even when the cops are around either they don't care or they can't do anything about it since everyone is doing the same speed.
Even on surface streets they keep the limits at 60kph (~37mph) on most roads yet normal traffic flows at 80kph (~50mph), we could do with an across the board increase of 20kph, but it will never happen as it will hit their pocket books as well as the auto insurance scammers who work hand in glove with the gubernmint to steal from you again.
