Jesse Jackson got early Secret Service protection when he ran for President. Obama asked for and got early Secret Service protection in the last election. They should do the same for Sarah Palin. Do I think there is a great risk to her life? Yes I do. I used to worry about it a little. But now I worry about it a lot. Top people in the Democratic Party and the media were quick to call Palin a racist during the last election. And that planted the seeds of hate into the minds of a lot of people. Then again after the shooting in Tucson, they said Palin was responsible. And the threats to Palin went though the roof. Sarah Palin had to increase protection for her and her family. The people who tried to blame Sarah Palin for the shootings in Tucson were idiots. Some of them were idiots. I think some were intentionally trying to provoke violence against Sarah Palin.

It’s the ONLY WAY the Dems can BEAT HER!!
In the meantime, she should call Chad:

Terrible title! WTF
Good effin grief. She might not even run. Give it to Rush and Beck and Ingraham and Daniels and Barbour and and and.
The victim card is a worthless one.
Don’t hyperventilate...
Title 18, Crimes and Criminal Procedures
Sec. 3056. Powers, authorities, and duties of United States Secret Service
(a) Under the direction of the Secretary of the Treasury, the United States Secret Service is authorized to protect the following persons...
...(7) Major Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates and, within 120 days of the general Presidential election, the spouses of such candidates. As used in this paragraph, the term ‘’major Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates’’ means those individuals identified as such by the Secretary of the Treasury after consultation with an advisory committee consisting of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the minority leader of the House of Representatives, the majority and minority leaders of the Senate, and one additional member selected by the other members of the committee. The protection authorized in paragraphs (2) through (7) may be declined.
So she’s lying about all the threats, right? Damn, you have jumped the shark, man!
Well then President Bush waived that for then Senator Obama, because he got Secret Service protection LONG before he was the Democratic nominee for president. Look it up!
NBC News May 3, 2007 - WASHINGTON The Secret Service said Thursday that Sen. Barack Obama was being placed under their protection, the earliest ever for a presidential candidate.
Secret Service spokesman Eric Zahren said Department of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff authorized Obamas protection after consultations with the congressional advisory committee.
If and when Palin actually announces her candidacy, she’ll be offered protection. Not like she can’t afford a bodyguard...
Mr. Obama was already a millionaire from his two books, but he didn’t hire private security. Is there a different standard for men and women or is it a black & white thing?
Thank you for proving my point, once again!!
I think you misunderstood what I was saying. At least I’ll give you the BOTD
Okay, please explain what it is you meant. It sounded to me like you were saying that Governor Sarah Palin was “once again” “playing the victim card” and all the threats we’ve been hearing about since September 2008 are bogus or a figment of her imagination.
I’m saying ALL outspoken conservatives: Rush , Malkin, Bachmann, Hannity, etc, and yes Palin, get death threats regularly. And she is nothing more than a pundit right now, until and unless she announces. Not one damn dime for SS protection for potential candidates...EVER.
Shut your whiny piehole
So you wrote a letter to President Bush about Mr. Obama’s Secret Service protection, I assume?
And if anyone needs to determine, and take necessary steps to, that end it is herself.
Amazing, that many of her supporters believe they need to make decisions on her behalf, as if she isn't capable of doing that.
