Skip to comments.Chris Matthews: Boehner, Cantor birther ‘collaborators’

Its the story that wont die possibly because MSNBC doesnt want it to, since it seems that it could delegitimize the Republican Party and conservatives: Taking fringe notions and portraying them to be mainstream, including the issue of President Barack Obamas citizenship.
On Tuesdays Hardball, host Chris Matthews led off his program and scrutinized the reasons why Speaker of the House John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor wont condemn Republican members that question the presidents citizenship. His conclusion? Boehner and Cantor are collaborators, using the myth for political gain.
OK, you know what I want to do something right now, Matthews said. Im going accuse those leaders, theyre very smart gentlemen. Cantor seems like a good guy and of course, Boehner seems like a good guy. Let me just say this I hereby accuse them of collaboration.
Matthews explained that this so-called collaboration is meant to advance gains with primary voters and the theory is based on the Republican leaders unwillingness to attack those that hold views questioning Obamas citizenship in the Republican caucus.

Other than his loyal idiot viewers, does this bozo Matthews really believe most people consider him an intelligent person? Of all the things going on in the world, and this bonehead has nothing else to talk about on his low rated show?
Here’s a myth! Matthews has a brain! Cripes! No one watches this channel or this moron. Let him commit suicide!
As long as the left and some republicans (perhaps you might know someone like this) continue to push the ‘Sarah PAlin didn’t really write her book’ theme then conservatives are in their right to question if Obama was born in Kenya (even if its done mockingly). My personal opinion is the if there was anything to this story than certainly Clinton Inc. would have discovered or made up something in 2008.
Well, chrissy your balloon head :þ
I think Chris has been watching too many old Claude Rains movies. Give it a rest, guy.
So what! If they are, GREAT!
You KNOW there is “something” to it.
The Clintons played it savvy for their own strategic reasons.
Do you honestly have any good reason why Obama has hidden the trail of literally 80% of his personal, professional and academic background?
And why dispatch his lawyers to ensure nothing is released?
Ah the old nazi tactic, how original for an Alinskite.
Pray for America
Chrissy needs a rabbit with a pancake on it’s head. He needs to calm down or shut up or do something.
Mathews’ image is now fashioned from negative material. He makes angry, twisted statements and hopes the right will respond, making his statements relative. If the right would simply ignore this stuffed pig with the big mouth, he’d just fade away.... and fast.
the only good democrat, is a former democrat
Just another distraction! They want us looking for a non-existent BC and missing college records instead of talking about the disaster of a budget he put forward and a country going down the tubes.
I thought chrissy the bafoon asked for obummers birth certificate a couple of weeks ago. Shouldn’t he condemn himself for wanting to put the issue to rest?
He aint gonna like Cashills new book...
In the comments section someone gives away the beans as to who Cashill makes an educated guess as the real father of Obama.
My guess has been Frank Marshall Davis for the last couple of years.
Right on the money.
