Larry Pratt comes out swinging on the Project Gunwalker scandal while the "800 pound gorilla" NRA

Eric Holder to Lanny Breuer, pointing at the 800 pound gorilla sitting on its ass: "What about him?" Breuer: "Don't worry, that's the NRA, he's tame."

As previously reported, FOX had two pieces on the Project Gunwalker scandal today. The better of the two was Larry Pratt's commentary on the Traver nomination which of course is intimately intertwined now with the Gunwalker scandal.

Larry came out swinging, and apparently the ATF had declined to provide anyone to defend Traver, for it was Larry vs. Megyn Kelly, who was spinning out the administration meme as best she could.

I want to go on record about one thing. When it came to David's and my attention that the whistleblowers were out there willing to tell their stories, Larry Pratt was one of the first guys we called for advice on how and who to contact to make that happen. GOA worked quietly behind the scenes, helping us get in touch with the right people in Sessions' and Grassley's offices. We also consulted him on how to help move the story along in the media. At every turn, Larry and the GOA were there to help any way they could. It is the height of irony that the FOX build-up to the story on Traver credited NRA with its opposition, whereas it was GOA that was, like the Gunwalker scandal, early in the trenches against Traver while the NRA sat back and calculated the odds, as the Lairds of Fairfax always do.

When the behind-the-scenes story of the opening moves of the Project Gunwalker scandal is finally told, you will be able to find Larry Pratt and Gun Owners of America in the index with multiple citations. The NRA? Once again, missing in action, resting upon its considerable "800 pound gorilla" ass. Of course, they will later claim credit for all of it, as they usually do -- after the fact.

I wish I knew what the heck this is all about. Not much info provided here. It sounds as if Megyn is pimping for the administration. That I can not believe.

You can get up to speed on what this is all about by using the tag "Project Gunwalker" as a search filter, I believe, but I'll give you a synopsis anyways.

The ATF was called in by a couple of Arizona gun stores about some suspicious purchases, in cash, for quantities of certain firearms. This started what was supposed to be a routine 'sing' operation on the purchaser. ATF agents on the ground wanted to intercept the guns before they reached Mexico, but were told to 'walk' those guns through, by higher ups in ATF.

Then came the firefight in which BP Agent Brian Terry was killed. Among the guns recovered at the scene were two whose serial numbers matched one of the sales 'authorized' by ATF in the sting operation, and were 'walked' to Mexico. In short, this sting operation, and the way it was handled, may have helped kill a Federal officer, and now the ATF, as usual, is in full CYA mode...

A continuation to infowarrior's post,

It also appears the ATF was also using the weapons that they allowed to be smuggled into Mexico, were "captured" and returned by the Mexican govt for tracing to pad their smuggling statistics, thereby justifying their operations along the border.

In short, the so called "River Of Guns" the ATF has been hyping, started at the ATF's offices.

They were right in the middle of blaming border gun shops, entrapping law abiding citizens in "stings" and requesting millions of dollars and new "special powers" from the Admin when "project gunrunner" blew up in their face.

Although Obama and his DHS lackey were about to approve the "special powers" and funding, they did an abrupt about-face when it was leaked by an ATF agent that ATF smuggled weapons were found at the Border Patrol Agent's murder site.

If the "Media" actually did their job, this would be the end of the ATF.

Good Update!

CBS just carried the story of "Project Gunrunner"... More info at Sipsey Street Irregulars, the website that broke the story.

Thank you. I had missed all that news.

This fits neatly with what seems to be planned world chaos with the intention of a powerful one world government needed to restore order. As Mexico becomes more chaotic they are just another fire like Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Madison, WI, and other places in the United States now and in the future.

A civil war coming soon in a city near you.
