The Koch Brothers vs.The Caucus of Union "Paupers"
The Looking Spoon ^ | 2-27-11 | Jared H. McAndersen

This obsession liberals have with making the Koch brothers the scapegoat for all things conservative these days is just too nauseating. They don't cry like babies when, as Eleanor Clift on "The McLaughlin Group" puts it (the video can be seen at EyeBlast.tv or embedded at the original post here), "monied interests" like George Soros stick their billion dollar noses in our business.

On the show, Pat Buchanan laughs at the stupid harpy when she wonders why people think Walker is representing the people. Elections never seem to count when it's not their ilk who won.

Over Buchanan's laughter John McLaughlin admonishes them to let her finish, like he was doing her a favor. If Clift thinks she is fooling anyone with her intellect then she must think we're pretty damn dumb, because she makes a 40 watt bulb look like a supernova.

So what about the Koch brothers? Why don't we consult liberalism's public enemy number 1......

THE INTERNET!

According to followthemoney.org Koch Industries contributed exactly $43,500 to the governors race, which is .19% of the total money raised, and a WHOPPING .47% of the total contributions to Scott Walker's campaign.

Who contributed MORE than the Koch brothers to the campaign?

So according to Clift, Scott Walker is looking out for "monied interests," meanwhile the unions (and the above is just a partial list) are throwing around money like they're starring in a rap video and outspending the Koch brothers, at a minimum, by 4 to 1...and that makes them what?

A caucus of paupers?

All of that money filled Democrat coffers, is anyone really dumb enough to suggest the Wisconsin Fleebaggers are acting out of principle?

Mark Steyn said it best when he described the rioting Greek civil servants: "... not an oppressed underclass, but a pampered overclass."

I love Mark Steyn, he’s definitely one of the most brilliant voices in the movement.

I know this is a bit blasphemous but I like it when he fills in for Rush.

It's not blasphemy at all. In fact, I'm guessing that Rush has already tapped Mark Steyn to be the heir apparent for his show.

The Kochs have done a great deal of good in this world.
The attacks against them from the Left, even in Kansas, are ridiculous!

The left always needs Bogeyman... ‘Chimpy’, ‘Darth Cheney’, ‘Scare-A Palin’ and now ‘Koch Whores.’ It’s hilarious to watch.

I live in Wichita and Charles Koch is a local hero. The lefties here can't hurt him or the Koch family. People here love them.

Well, at first I was thinking we might be related. I have an uncle who's conservative like me and I've been encouraging him to come here. Then, I read your profile and I just wanted to thank you for standing on your principles in what I thought was an unfair and unrelenting media onslaught against you. Cheers!

...when she wonders why people think Walker is representing the people...does anybody really believe those 14 'rat senators would still be hiding out across the state line if they had even the slightest hope that Walker was doing what the people didn't want? - they'd be home playing the martyrs and soaking up the adulation of the wronged citizens in a flash....

Okay, I must be out of the loop. When did all of this Koch stuff start up? Just grew out of the Wisc. ordeal, or has this been mentioned before? Really, I am so in the dark on this.

Good question. I think the date can be pinpointed. If you do a Wikipedia search on the Koch Brothers, they have a whole lot of boring information about them back in the 80s and 90s — the political stuff is all very recent. The cited sources show an article from August 25, 2010, from the NY Times IIRC,and if you do a google search, you find almost nothing prior to that date.

That seems to be when the herd of independent minds all were struck with the revelation that the Koch Brothers, who have been around for decades, are the root of all evil.

Thanks!
We all do our part.
I pretty much got “drafted” but I served as well as I could, at the time.

They’ve bubbled to the surface only recently, I hadn’t heard of them either until earlier this month.

They’re really just a scapegoat for liberals.
