Muslims plan D.C. rally to implement sharia law in U.S.

The Blaze reports Monday morning that a New York-based Islamic organization plans to rally for sharia law in Washington, D.C. this Thursday.

Jonathon M. Seidl reports the rally is being organized by The Islamic Thinkers Society and will feature British cleric Anjem Choudary, Abu Izzadeen and Sayful Islam.

“We hereby call upon the Muslims in the US, particularly in New York, Michigan, Chicago and Washington DC to take lessons from their Muslim brothers and sisters in North Africa and the Middle East and rise to implement the Shari’ah in America,” the group Shariah4America, seemingly modeled after Choudary’s UK organization, says on its website.

Choudary once told Fox News' Sean Hannity that Americans are “the biggest criminals in the world today.“ In October, he announced ”the flag of Islam will one day fly over the White House,” according to Seidl.

According to the UK Daily Mail:

Izzadeen is the hate preacher who caused fury last year when he called British soldiers ‘murderers’ the day he was released from jail after a three-and-a-half year sentence for inciting terrorism

The website Sharia4America openly calls for revolution in the United States, and boldly proclaims:

On 3rd March 2011 From 1pm to 4pm (local time), at Pennsylvania Avenue, outside the White House, the Muslims will let the tyrant Barack Obama and the American people know that a new constitution beckons the US called the Shari’ah, and that this worldwide revolution will see it implemented inshaa’allah (God willing) very very soon.

The liberals lectured us when Oklahoma passed a law banning Sharia law. That law is facing a lawsuit and may be ruled unconstitutional. But among the reasons for the liberal lecture was that, according to them, there is no chance of Sharia law taking root in America. So why would a state pre-emptively try to ban something that doesn’t exist and won’t happen, asked the liberal talking heads on MSNBC at the time.

So now it turns out that there is a movement to force Sharia law on America. What will the liberals say about that?

One of the major concerns of people critical of Shariah law is that it is subject to interpretation and evolution. There is virtually no formal certification process to designate someone as being qualified to interpret Islamic law. As it stands today, almost anyone can make rulings as long as they have the appearance of piety and a group of followers.

We could certainly use the lesson of Sharia Law vis-a-vis death sentence for insulting Islam. To wit, we need a law making it a capital offense to insult our American heritage.. for example by advocating replacing it with Islamism (political Islam, Sharia Law).
