And YES, Mr. Mayor. Everyone is entitled to carry a gun.

Can someone answer— HOW do people like him keep getting elected over and over and over??? And now Rahm Emmanuel. Do people in Chicago have no brains?

I agree with Daley. Since Chicago has no bad guys running around why should people have guns? They have nothing to protect themselves from because Chicago is 100% safe. Really! The statistics don’t lie:

PS - It is frightening that any politician thinks the media is there to do anything other than report events. Daley apparently thinks that media is there to be social workers. They are not. Unfortunately, most of them think they are social workers.
Who could forget that Chicago’s handgun ban was rammed through city council by a “high ranking made member” of the Chicago Mob? This is certainly mail and wire fraud.

This is a perfect example of Dems working coalitions. They have the rich elites, AKA Lincoln Park liberals, and the minorities and working-class ethnics, in this case the HDO (Hispanic Democratic Organization). By doing favors for folks, they are getting votes in return.
I think I’m the only registered Republican on my block. When I hear my Polish and Ukrainian neighbors rail against the waste and corruption, I always remind them of the party in power. However, these folks have been brainwashed to think it’s the Republicans who represent the wealthy in Chicago when really the GOP has small business people, like me, and young entrpreneurs as their base in the city. Additionally, it seems my neighbors spell ‘entitlement’ D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T.
Keep in mind that the HDO (or its replacement) is tied into the public workers’ unions and a lot of the trades and they’re all well-organized.
Really shakes your faith in "our fellow Americans".
I guess that's it. You watch enough MSM and your whole world becomes upside down and backwards....
