Palin says that Christie is forced to cut budgets because NJ is broke. But she points out that when she became Governor of Alaska, she cut even though she had a surplus:

Yeah she slap Christie a good one...in a nice backhanded way! I guess after Chris kept saying she needs to do more unscripted moments, she just did.
Palin: “Christie has no choice but to cut. His state is BROKE. Real courage is what you do in the face of a surplus, which is what I did when I reigned in govt.”
Interviewer: “Do you think Christie is inspirational?”
Palin: “I think tea party Americans are inspirational.”

She did it in a very good way too....said she apologized that because she was in Alaska the 4 second delay interfered with her being able to answer questions completely...and then went on to say what she wanted to say - without interruption.
