An 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit Japan March 11 and the ensuing Tsunami wave delivered a devastating blow to the people, resources and economy of the U.S. ally. At this writing, a nuclear power plant there is on the verge of meltdown. As can be expected, it took a few days for the world and the American media to comprehend the complexity and gravity of the situation.
But two things were very predictable in the aftermath of a natural disaster. First, Americans have responded generously, having rallied financial, physical, emotional and spiritual support for the Japanese. Second, the network news refuses to recognize the impact that churches, faith-based groups and small non-profits have in the recovery effort.

The title is WRONG.
They are ignoring CHRISTIAN groups.
If there were muslim groups (which there NEVER are, since the moon worshippers do not believe in helping non-moon worshippers, and usually even other moon worshippers), they would advertise it for their muslim paymasters.
I heard Franklin Graham of Samaritians purse yesterday on the radio. He was talking about their Boots on the ground activity in Japan. Working through the churches.
I just wonder sometimes if God does not allow these things to happen so that the gospel can be reached to those who would otherwise not be exposed........
Yes he is mentioned in the article.
The title is not wrong. There are Jewish groups and Buddhist groups mobilizing as well.
No it’s still wrong. If there were muslims doing anything, it WOULD be reported.
So it should be CHRISTIAN/JEWISH/BUDDHIST then.
It’s best to not think of it as ‘God allows to happen’. The fact is, we live on a planet which has plate tectonics. Every so often, purely as a function of science, these things happen.
God gave us dominion over this planet.
God does respond to prayer, and people who diligently seek His face. But if people want to believe they, or some wooden idol, or the moon, are in control, then they have to find ways of dealing with plate tectonics without God.
If God solved every problem we have without any faith on our part, He would be doing us an unjust disservice, not a help.
