Obama’s Next National Disaster – Jamie Gorelick As FBI Director?
AIPNews.com ^ | March 24, 2011 | John L. Work

If you think that Barack Hussein Obama has done as much as he can possibly do toward the demolition of our Republic, you had better think again.  I know it’s getting harder and harder to read the news reports.  He just keeps piling the destruction onto us to the point where it’s unbearable.  But, here’s the latest:

Jamie Gorelick, who is now infamous within right-leaning circles (the same Jamie Gorelick who pocketed tens of millions of dollars during the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac collapses that put us directly into the financial disaster we are now suffering – the same Jamie Gorelick who in 1995 authored a memo that Attorney General John Ashcroft later testified under oath was a directly contributing factor to the success of the 9/11 attacks of 2001) – is on Barack Obama’s “short list” to be named Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

With thanks to Michael Savage, here are some excerpts from the CNS report by Chris Neefus:

“(CNSNews.com)  – Jamie Gorelick, a former Clinton administration official who reportedly has made the Obama administration’s short list to become the next director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), was paid more than $26 million in total compensation as a top executive at Fannie Mae–before taxpayers had to bail out the mortgage giant…”

That’s not the worst of it.  Read on.

“…In a 1995 Justice Department memo, written when she was deputy attorney general, Kagan prescribed a policy for limiting the flow of information between intelligence gatherers and criminal investigators within the Justice Department…”

“…Rules stemming from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), under which the intelligence community was operating as part of its investigation, stipulates that information may only be gathered by way of surveillance for the primary purpose of intelligence, not to contribute to a criminal case under which defendants have more constitutional protections…”

“…“These procedures, which go beyond what is legally required, will prevent any risk of creating an unwarranted appearance that FISA is being used to avoid procedural safeguards which would apply in a criminal investigation,” Gorelick wrote…”

Here’s the crux of the matter.  Gorelick’s memo had the net effect of prohibiting law enforcement agencies, such as the FBI, from gathering or accepting any criminal investigative information from federal intelligence-gathering agencies, which would be firstly concerned with safe-guarding national security interests.  From the wording of the memo, Gorelick was apparently more concerned with ensuring that the Constitutional protections of the 4th Amendment be extended to foreign nationals who might be planning acts of war against the United States than she was with preventing terrorist attacks on our soil.  But, let’s go on again:

“…Bush Attorney General John Ashcroft later testified before the 9/11 Commission that Gorelick’s “wall” was a “structural cause” in the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 being allowed to occur.

In his prepared testimony, he said, “In 1995 the Justice Department, imposing a series of restrictions on the FBI that went beyond what the law required. … The single greatest structural cause for September 11 was the wall that segregated criminal investigators and intelligence agents. Government erected this wall. Government buttressed this wall. And before September 11, government was blinded by this wall.”…”

Of course, Gorelick later denied that her restrictive memo was a factor in allowing the 9/11 attacks.  Socio-pathic (that is to say, without a conscience) lawyers from either side of the political spectrum are always masters of pointing their fingers at each other.  But this was unquestionably a policy blunder of historical proportions, written by the hand of Ms. Gorelick.

The salient point here is:  After all of the controversy in which Jamie Gorelick has been embroiled, why is this woman even being considered for the position of FBI Director?  What does Barack Hussein Obama have up his sleeve now?

 Read all of it.

Jamie “The Wall” Gorelick, who has more responsibility for 9/11 than any other American?

So, would the Senate GOP grow some spines and uttlerly humiliate Gorelick in confirmation hearings?

I shudder when I think of the likely answer.

Gorelick is a logical choice if your goal is to Destroy Western Civilization, starting with America.

Uggh. I could totally see Øbama selecting Gorelick as FBI director. Look at the other poor choices he’s made.

Gorelick has also been hired by Duke to help it defend against suits by the lacrosse players.

I don’t know why—she likely isn’t an expert in student-university relations.

(Could it be for her clout in Washington?)

Nah... justice can’t be ‘influenced’...

I hope he nominates her, because the confirmation hearings will be a three ring circus and Hussein will be forced to withdraw her name in disgrace.

I double-dog dare him to do it.

Since his election, Obama has tried to target his domestic political opposition with the DHS, DOJ, FCC and every other agency at his disposal. Remember Napolitano’s first memo as the Director of DHS was talking about “single issue” groups and militias as the focus of DHS. After the fallout from that gaff, the effort has become more discrete but not totally hidden. Gorelick will be another appointment made for the express purpose of suppressing dissent and focusing intelligence efforts toward American citizens who are NOT Jihadis. Who knows what’s being done or planned outside of public scrutiny?

why is this woman even being considered for the position of FBI Director?

I think it's a feint. I'm sure Obama can find some one comparably horrific without the baggage and name recognition. Once he announces that name and it's not "Gorelick", the opposition cools and his nominee sails through confirmation.

Just a hunch.

” “…policy for limiting the flow of information between intelligence gatherers and criminal investigators within the Justice Department…”

this Gorelick “wall” she established within the FBI, and enforced with disciplinary action on those who dared to pass on relevant information to security agents, may well be the reason the 9-11 attack occurred.

It may well be that Jamie Gorelick was the primary reason the terrorists got through - one person - Gorelick and her infamous “wall.”

And now she is considered for leading the Bureau?? Is this a case of a fox in the hen house?

What has actually happened is that NO good honorable man will work for Barack Obama, leaving only ambitious, control hungry American females who will accept. How more graphic can it be?

It is like descent into a CS Lewis abyss. Fostered of course by as many neutered yes-men as can be mustered. Unfortunately this can extend into the US military. Appointed chiefs have always been political robots, without values, for the in-place authority. For example, Douglas McArthur, expressing contrary politics, being removed, George Patton, expressing contrary politics, being run over.

It is tragic tragic ignorance to assume that appointed government functionaries are competent, courageous, or have any honorable values whatsoever. That has been evident everywhere else in the world and everywhere else in history, and now the United States. This, as or even more true for American females than males. Thus challenge and dismantlement of centralized government is critical to avoid tyranny. It is called freedom and the Tea Party.

She's a vacuous ideologue of verifiably criminal incompetence.

Sounds like the perfect Obama nominee.
