Sarah Palin is a magnet for criticism and sometimes deserves it. But not always. Palins trip to Israel this week was, like everything else she does, interpreted as part of a pre-presidential candidacy tour. Thus, it was no surprise that her statements while in Israel and about it afterward generated the usual scorn that anything she says produces. An on-line discussion at Politico about her comments was headlined on its homepage as concerning Palins idiotic comments about Israel. So how idiotic were they? The correct answer is not very.
During an interview on FOX Newss Greta Van Susteren show Wednesday night, Palin criticized President Obama for not being sufficiently supportive of Israel: I think there are many in Israel who would feel even more comfortable knowing that there is an even greater commitment from those who presently occupy the White House that they are there on Israels side, and that our most valuable ally in that region can count on us. Why is it in that the past, too often, the U.S. government has told Israel that theyre the ones, the Jewish community, that they need to back up, they need to back off or there will never be peace. Why arent we putting our foot down with the other side and telling the Palestinians, If youre serious about peace, quit the shellacking and the shelling. Quit the bombing of innocent Israelis. Far from stupid, these remarks are actually very much to the point about the willingness of this administration, and some of its predecessors to pressure Israel to make concessions when the real obstacle to peace is what it always has been: the Palestinians unwillingness to make peace or to give up terrorism.
But to supposedly smart Americans, the really stupid thing she said was her criticism of Obamas

Palin is obviously far more coherent about Israel and the Middle East than Obobo, a lost soul on foreign policy if ever there was one.
From one of his other articles:
You betcha. You see, Palin has proved by example that a woman politician need not spout the pro-big government, pro-abortion, pro-welfare-state line. Ms. Palin has spent much of 2010 burnishing her political bona fides and extending her influence by way of the Mama Grizzlies, a gang of Sarah- approved, maverick-y female politicians looking to take back America with common-sense solutions. She sure did, and she proved herself to be the most effective female politician in the country. Sorry, Hillary while you have been playing errand girl for the Obama foreign-policy train wreck, Palin has ascended to the throne. (Nancy Pelosis days are numbered.) The left is waving the white flag of surrender:
“Its easy of course, for liberals to laugh off Ms. Palins you go, girl! ethos and increasingly aggressive co-optation of feminist symbols. We progressives discount her references to the womens movement not to mention her validity as a candidate by looking down on her as a dim, opportunistic, mean-girl prom queen, all spunk and no policy muscle. ”
“If Sarah Palin and her acolytes successfully redefine what it means to be a groundbreaking political woman, it will be because progressives let it happen and in doing so, ensured that when it comes to making history, there will be no one but Mama Grizzlies to do the job.”
Looks like we have a convert.
Writing in Dysentery magazine, Jonathan S. Tobin — “Sarah Palin is a magnet for criticism and sometimes deserves it. But not always.”
By sharp contrast to another leading American female politician a decade ago, Palin was photographed kissing the wife of the prime minister of Israel, not the wife of the head of the Palestinian Liberation Organization!
BTW, I too saw Palin on Greta Van Susteren and thought her performance there was excellent, especially considering that she must had to overcome jet lag so soon after her return to the US.
Thanks for the ping!
Sarah is the Real Deal, I have my doubts if she is even goy or not, I mean Sarah is Hebrew for Princess.
As for Ubama, he is nothing but a Putz, all true supports of Israel will be glad when his ass in the unemployment line.
When it comes to Christians, it shouldn't matter whether we are Jewish or not, we still support Jews, because a) our Savior Jesus is of your father Abraham, and b) Jews are God's chosen people. Of course Christians are going to be Israel's best supporters.
I only wish more Christians would explore their own Jewish roots, Sarah seams to have embraced that Idea.
Sadly (unlike you) there are many Christians and Too many Jews who would rather support the Soros, Mrs Case Sunstine, and Barak Ubama Antisemitic league for whatever reason.
>> “Apparently a liberal backing Palin over Øbama.” <<
“But to supposedly smart Americans, the really stupid thing she said was her criticism of Obamas stands about Israel settlement building. ‘President Obama was inappropriate to intervene in a zoning issue in Israel. Let Israel decide their zoning issues themselves.’
“Her reference to settlement building as a mere zoning issue is considered by some to be more evidence that Palin doesnt know what shes talking about.”
Palin was correct to use the term “zoning.” They have the right to build whatsoever they choose in the lands that they have re-conquered, and that word underscored it.
Tobin is just another air headed socilaist/globalist attacking the only candidate that makes any sense.
He’s a globalist; its clear from his comments.

If HRC reads this she’ll blow a gasket for sure!
