In Obama’s speech, echoes of JFK (No, he's serious!)
The Washington Post's Post Partisan ^ | March 28, 2011 | Robert Kagan

With his speech tonight, President Obama placed himself in a great tradition of American presidents who have understood America’s special role in the world. He thoroughly rejected the so-called realist approach, extolled American exceptionalism, spoke of universal values and insisted that American power should be used, when appropriate, on behalf of those values. I was particularly pleased to see him place Libya in the context of the Arab Spring. This is the part of the equation that the self-described realists have missed....

Robert Kagan huffs airplane glue.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

For the Left, Kennedy and Obama are living gods. Mere humans pale in comparison to their brilliance and majesty. We do not really deserve to be led by men of such magnificence.

America is in the process of getting an “Obamarectimy” and this fool is in a drug induced stupor with images of Kennedy.

Mad I tell you, they are all mad.

Sounds more like echoes of first-term GW Bush. The same liberals who vilified Bush for emphasizing exactly these points now grow dewy-eyed hearing the same words coming out of Obama's mouth.

He uses the term 'so-called realist' again in the excerpt.

Obama is now above reality.

I wish I knew how to post the little smiley who's puking his guts out.

For the Obama admin, this wasn't about European oil, or stopping genocide, getting rid of Kadhaffi. It was about bolstering up the Obama reelection bid by making him a war president. This is Obama’s Kosovo. It is a twofer for him because his terrorist friends benefit.

Now the media will extol what a leader he is. How he is saving innocent lives and promoting democracy. All day long the media, including FOX have been breathlessly reporting torture and atrocities. The truth is we don't know who did it to who. Not really. AlQaeda has been known to be as brutal as Kadhaffi.

“In Obama’s speech, echoes of JFK”

Must have been his snoaring rhetoric.

Obama had better hope Iran is complicit in the rebel cause, because if they aren’t, Iran will be convinced the entire rebel campaign throughout the mideast has been orchestrated by the US and the west.

Obama and crew might be good as liars to the West, but they don’t fool the people at the bottom who are being demonized along with groups Obama is attacking.

If they aren’t complicit, they will have a moral imperative to always consider anything spoken by the West as a lie. Where more sane heads may have prevailed in the past, if they are not complicit, they are likely to vow unabashedly to strike irreversibly with proper prior planning at the West.

They now know he will irrevocably commit himself to causes completely antithetical to the moral convictions he ascribes to defend. If the Congress, Constitution, Supreme Court, and Pentagon don’t hold him accountable, nor the international bodies or foreign nations, they will fall back to a simple moral defense mechanism, never accepting anything he promises or pretends to offer.

He is a motivational speaker. He is doing a good job of creating enemies to the death, where negotiations will not be considered in any future situation by friend or foe to his position.

Now is a good time to watch and document who abets his cause.
