Looks like there will be no parade in Binghamton, NY this year to celebrate Muhammad's birthday. Instead, they will be holding an "Interfaith Program" in nearby Owego, NY.
Here's what it says on the website of Binghamton's "United Muslim-Christian Forum":
Upcoming Event: UMCF Interfaith Milad Celebration is April 16th!There's also an informational flyer in PDF form which says:

My advice: choose one name for the event and stick with it. My goodness.
Check out this post from Gates of Vienna to see why you shouldn't be getting warm and fuzzy feelings from this group or event.
If its any consolation, in this case your instincts were correct: this is not a well-meaning interfaith outreach by Muslim-Americans wanting only to co-exist.
Hopefully they have a good fumigator for the Treadway Inn or maybe they should bulldoze it.
This “interfaith” stuff is crap. Jesus is the only way to salvation, not Muhammed, Joseph Smith, Zaphod or anyone else so why promote it? This is just another way for the camel of the muzzies to get its nose under the tent.
Well put. I agree 100%
