I'm reading the biography of Malcolm X released earlier this week.

All of the nutty material generated by a handful of lunatics in the early 20th century (white people are devils, maybe created by an Evil Scientist named Yacub, etc) has been mainstreamed and is no longer grotesque racism, but Common Wisdom. It's incredible.

There are hundreds of millions of people who think they are owed an enormous amount because somebody else has something they want, and they plan to TAKE it. Much of the world could look like Zimbabwe, plundered, impoverished, with not much hope of anything better.
