If President Obama is serious about tax increases (sorry, I meant to say “spending reductions in the tax code”) and increasing overall tax revenue, he should start by first calling a cabinet meeting and ordering everybody in the room to pony up what they owe.

Mortgages are paid off but taxes are forever. The house was purchasd 50 years ago so any idea that they forgot the taxes is bogus because they’ve been paid for the last 25 years. Who paid them?, I grew up 10 blocks from Holder. I pay the taxes for my aunt and uncle’s house there because they are infirm. I do it online. I don’t forget. How did Holder forget?

Okay, folks, there are lots of reasons Holder should be gone, but not having instantaneously straightened out a tax mess left by his departed mother is not one of them.
I had to file a revised income tax return a few years back because my step-mother represented some money she sent me as having been a gift, when it should have been treated as a distribution from my father’s estate. This was discovered about midway through the three years it took my brother (a Washington lawyer) to sort though the chaotic condition of the financial records she left, get all the taxes paid and the like.

Hell Prescott Valley AZ threatened to put my property up for auction because the sewer assessment hadn’t been paid on time. And it was supposed to be paid out of our impound account. But because the bank that serviced our loan went into recivership and the new bank that services the loan didn’t pay it, we had to make a cash payment within a week of the notification. How do these clowns get away with so much!
I prefer to call it "kinetic revenue enhancement".
That said, Eric Holder is, was, and always will be a disgrace.

The laws don’t apply to Democrat tax cheats. Tim Geithner and Charlie Rangel and Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and Tom Daschle all “forgot” to pay their taxes. They weren’t charged penalties by the very understanding IRS, and some of them are still “negotiating” their payments for years, as Sharpton is. We tax drones would have our wages garnished, house sold, business confiscated, and if that wasn’t enough to satisfy the penaties, we’d go to jail. That’s why people no longer respect our crooked government any more.
