Why oh why are Conservatives getting hoodwinked by this fraud?
CAVUTO: You know, the one thing that sticks in the craw of a lot of people with this court, Donald and I dont know where you come down on it, but this eminent domain issue that essentially allowed someones home to be bulldozed, as was the case in New London, Connecticut, if it gets in the way of developers. Now, youre a pretty successful developer in your own right. What did you think of that decision? Was the court overdoing it with that decision?
TRUMP: Well, its sort of not a good one for me to say, because I noticed every article written about it said, Will Donald Trump take over your home? sort of using me as the example, Neil. And its sort of its an interesting situation to be in. But I happen to agree with it 100 percent, not that I would want to use it. But the fact is, if you have a person living in an area thats not even necessarily a good area, and government, whether its local or whatever, government wants to build a tremendous economic development, where a lot of people are going to be put to work and make area thats not good into a good area, and move the person thats living there into a better place now, I know it might not be their choice but move the person to a better place and yet create thousands upon thousands of jobs and beautification and lots of other things, I think it happens to be good. (Fox News, 7/19/05)
Check out the link above to read about the times he has actually tried to use eminent domain to evict people, for his business interests of course.
How does he answer this? Well, because it was a 10 years ago and back then all conservatives backed using eminent domain to seize private property, as well as socialized health care.
I s**t you not:

I remember when it happened.
Worse, I've seen people even here actually defend how he uses eminent domain abuses. When you hope for change, you'll fall for any clown.
Same flip flops, different feet.
Another item on my list is his position on amnesty and I mean ANY SORT of amnesty. He seems to be steering clear of that subject for the moment.
Now, with all that said, I do believe he has been good for the process. His no holds barred approach seems to have stiffened the spines of a few of the other front runners on my list and so I do want to see him in the primary race. If for nothing else than to hold the rest of the candidates feet to the fire so we can have some honest & wholesome debate that is not just political talking points rambling to pacify the uneducated John Q Public, I vote but I haven't a clue what I am voting for.
Obamaniacs are out in full force discrediting the Donald!
Yet, “conservative” FReepers still support Donald Trump. I told you so.
I hate to be the one to point this out to you, chief, but Trump discredited himself.
The way I see it, there are zero degrees of separation between Soros and Trump. That is close enough for me to be skeptical of Trump, especially since he’s had far left tendencies right up until now.
“Trump Supports Taking Private Property Of Citizens”
Eminent domain laws are a double edge sword.
As conservatives or libertarians, we would be violently
opposed to the government taking ANY property.
On the other hand, lets say you have a tar paper shack on the bank of a river, and that location is the only logical spot where an interstate bridge can be built.
Do you cancel the bridge to save the shack?
Inquiring minds want to know. ;)
History discredits the Donald.
This isn’t about an interstate bridge which would fall under the Constitution’s grant of postal roads. This is abuse of eminent domain to benefit one private business over the private property of another individual. That is far different than legitimate infrastructure, that is corruption, pure and simple.
I think it is fair to criticize Donald Trump, but I think it is pretty pathetic to place the blame of eminent domain seizures at his feet.
Developers can’t invoke eminent domain, only government can, and the Supreme Court ruled that it was perfectly legal for government to take property and transfer it to developers.
Blame the Supreme Court, not Donald Trump.
“But the fact is, if you have a person living in an area thats not even necessarily a good area, and government, whether its local or whatever, government wants to build a tremendous economic development, where a lot of people are going to be put to work and make area thats not good into a good area, and move the person thats living there into a better place now, I know it might not be their choice but move the person to a better place and yet create thousands upon thousands of jobs and beautification and lots of other things, I think it happens to be good.”
Hmmm, sounds a lot like Stalin’s take on private property. So who out there is going to defend THIS?
"Trump has had a lot of bad hair days. Just like Romney. Two bad hair guys who are more liberal than they are conservative and both run-of-the-mill liars and political whores. Either will say anything to get ahead. Just working the system the only way they know how. Charlatans."

Check up-thread and on other threads on the topic. It is scary what comes out of the woodwork.
He may not be responsible for the eminent domain abuse but that is not the point. The point is that he agrees with it 100%.
Donald Trump is NOT the "GREAT WHITE 'CONSERVATIVE' HOPE"; not by a long shot.
As Newt was the flip side of the coin of Slick Willie, The Donald is the flip side of Barry.
Sure, people love it that Trump is bashing Obama, saying stuff against China ( which he is only doing because they got the best of him on a couple of deals ), and saying really dumb stuff about taking the oil from Iraq and perhaps other countries we've helped/are helping. It sounds good to the naive ( because it's what they would like to say, if they were in power ), but aren't things that a president can just do out of hand.
You think you know Trump because you watch a show he runs, read a book or two of his? That's patently ridiculous and in spades!
I read here, on FR, some poster claiming that The Donald "isn't social"/doesn't go out. That's just not so and completely bizarre! Anyone who believes that he stays home with a bowl of spaghetti, watching T.V., needs to read through the archived PAGE SIX and Cindy Adams columns, in the N.Y. Post ( for starters ), for the past 30 years!
Then look up all of the scandals he's been in the middle of and ask yourselves.......IF WE KNOW THIS MUCH ABOUT HIS SCANDALS, HOW MUCH MORE AND WORSE THINGS HAVE YET COME OUT ABOUT HIM ?
It would seem the concept of individual freedom and the bill of rights is not as important to Trump as his own enormous ego. More and more he reminds me of Robert Moses.
