Dear Palin and Trump: Stop Whining. Thank You.
Right Across The Atlantic ^ | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 04/20/2011 10:46:08 AM PDT by Michael van der Galien

Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska, believes Donald Trump is being treated unfairly by the mainstream media. Politico reports that she especially takes issue with the MSM’s obsession with the ‘birther issue.’

Palin, who’s been trading kind words with Trump in recent days, said on Fox News that the real estate mogul isn’t pushing the birther issue and would talk about more substantial issues — if only the press would let him. Reporters, she said, are “hammering [Trump] about the one issue that he has brought up and not been shy about — that’s the birth certificate. … He’s answering reporters’ questions about his view on the birth certificate. And reporters turn that around and say that’s all he’s got.

Although Palin is obviously right that the media love to focus on this kind of thing, not they but Trump himself is to blame for the coverage he receives. If Trump is half as smart as he seems to believe, he’d simply start talking about other subjects, no matter the actual question asked.

Let’s imagine a reporter asks: “Tell us about the birth certificate.” Instead of giving the reporter what he wants, Trump could say: “Oh, I’d rather talk about the deficit. You see, Obama’s running this country into the ground” etc. yada yada yada. It’s not that difficult to do. Heck, professional politicians do it all the time.

I understand it that Palin, Trump and other Republicans believe the media are biased (because, well, they are), but it’s time for them to stop nagging about it. Yes mainstream reporters support progressive politicians. And yes, they’ll do everything in their power to hurt a conservative candidate’s chances.

Yes I am paying attention, it’d be wonderful if you did so as well. The point is that they can’t report about it if he doesn’t say anything about it. In his next interview, he should just talk about other things; not even mention the certificate. Before he knows he’ll see that they’d cover other issues as well.

BTW about Trump: this is the man who said just a few years ago that Bush should be impeached because he “lied” about the Iraq War. This is also the man who blasted Republicans for being fiscally conservative. And now he’s suddenly a Tea Partier?

Give me a break.

Palin is for real, Trump is an opportunist.

BUT: that doesn’t mean we should whine day in, day out.

Bias of the LameStream Media is worth repeating, as are many other facts out there. Some people need to hear it several times for it to sink in.

Nobody's whining.

Yeah it’s a dead issue, and that is why you are talking about it. LOL! Moreover, why are you so upset about it? Don’t you realize you just contradicted your entire point Furthermore, if it’s such a dead issue, then why is Trump on top or close to the top in most polls? Don’t pee on me and tell me it’s raining!

You said Trump is stupid. How much did you make last year compared to Trump? Okay who is stupid now?

Upholding and defending the Constitution of the United States is the most conservative you can be. I don’t think you would recognize a conservative if you were bitch slapped and bulldozed by one.

We get it you are a Karl Rove hack, and you are VERY upset that Trump has guts unlike your spineless candidate. You are forgetting Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment. Even when a Republican I may not vote for (Newt Gingrich for instance), I still support them when they go after Obama. I don’t defend Obama, like you do, and attack the person going after Obama.

Thanks for showing everyone your true colors.

Don’t nag, define yourself, take charge and fight back. That’s all you have to do.

Where the hell have you been? Sort of clueless aren't you? Have to be to make a stupid statement like that which shows just how little you have been paying attention to Palin.

Another dope to add to the "New Media". At this rate the "New Media" will end up looking like the MSM in the near future.

LOL. OH yes, I’m a big, big defender of Obama. You’ve got me. My, my, you’re such a gifted analyst. Amazing.

Re 11th commandment: you’re talking about the guy who said on TV that Bush should be impeached. And you’re pretending all conservatives should forget about that and support / defend him? Excuse me but that’s ridiculous.

If Trump is half as smart as he seems to believe, he’d simply start talking about other subjects, no matter the actual question asked.

Then he'd sound like every other politician. One of his virtues is he gives straight answers.

The less attention paid to the mainstream press the better! It does nothing but bow and scrape to Communism. The Democratic Party has become the Communist Party, the Republican Party is to the left of JFK, and if people don’t know that by now, we deserve what we will get.

I agree that Trump is an opportunist. However, he’s been talking about a lot more than just the BC issue. Here, take a gander, see if you can find all he’s been talking about vs what the MSM have been harping one:

True, but then he shouldn’t whine that this is what they’re focusing on. You can’t have your cake and eat it too; that goes even for someone like Donald Trump.

It's hard not to notice no one agrees with you.

The disagreement is fairly strong, you might want to take note of that. Firing back (as you have done) at those that disagree must be some kind of whining, yes?

Great advice. Stop whining about media whining and, whatever you do, stop all talk about the “birther” issue. /s

The MSM is an enemy of conservatives. Don’t take advice from your enemy.

You think Bush was a Conservative??? LMAO! Yeah and I have a beach front property in Kansas to sell you.

You just attacked people that are going after Obama. I am perplexed you have the audacity to say you are not doing this? Once again double speak!

It’s obvious you are a Karl Rove hack. Like I said before thank you for showing us you true colors.

Oh, he has been talking about other issues - certainly - but the thing is that he’s also talked about the certificate. If he’d just refuse to answer questions about that for a couple of days and talk about other subjects, the media would have to spend attention to those other issues. It’s not rocket science.
