This is what needs to be done and thanks to sites like Twitter and to citizen journalism, it can happen. Papa Johns was alerted to the beyond odious post on Wonkette and, as a result, they say they are taking steps to ensure their ads no longer appear on the sewer slime trash site.

If you choose to be disgusting and vile in order to garner the attention you so desperately crave, don’t be surprised when that attention backfires when those with common decency are outraged and call you out on it. And when advertisers use their right to pull their ads from sites that publish absolute filth. Well done, Papa Johns.

Don’t companies bother to exercise a little oversight into ad placements anymore? Apparently not.... pay some ad firm to get them X number of exposures for the best price, with no regard to where. Maybe they’ll be more responsible going forward.

I think you are right. They pay some company to do web ads and don’t even know where they go... but they should be aware of where the ads go. If it’s vile, they should request ad be placed elsewhere.
Nearly every town has a soup kitchen...buy them some PJ's pizza...it's a win-win!
As chain-pizza places go, they're pretty good. I much prefer them to Domino's or Godfather's (Sorry Herman Cain).
I’ll be sure to order the team lunch from Papa Johns this week. Seems corporate stewardship in this country is lacking and Papa Johns stepped up.

I also told the manager there that we were there to give them business because of the rapid way John took his ad off of a website (and named wonkette) that ridiculed Sarah Palin's little child. I asked her to please send this info to htq. and she wrote down everything. Hope she does.
