AFAIK that is pure speculation, but if you've got real (verifiable) information that either #1 or #2 are true, I'd really like to see it.

AFAIK that is speculation. I have sent a UIPA request for the letter the Office of Elections sent Obama informing him whether or not he qualified to be on the HI ballot. That was a week ago and I haven’t heard anything back yet. I’ll post if/when I get something back. I vaguely remember asking about that on the phone a long time ago and being told they didn’t have anything, but by law they HAD to have sent something out.
Both of my daughters got their passports with a short form FYI. In addition my eldest got her drivers permit with a short form.

On a serious note, *if* he gets backed into an inescapable corner with that book, Trump or this blatantly obvious new “fix”, he’s going to become an extremely dangerous, even *more* unhinged “got nothing to lose” man.
On page 26 of "Dreams From My Father", Obama says he found a copy of his birth certificate folded up with other papers, when he was in high school.
Subsequent to the book, Obama had a spokesperson say. ""There was a small house fire in which the document was lost. That is why the President has been unable to comply with requests to release it. While the President understands the concerns of citizens, he hopes that this will put the matter to rest."
Now, although the date of the fictitious "house fire" was 1972, before Barry was in high school, if I put on my magic psychiatrist hat, I read the above as a confession (the correct order of events is unimportant to the subconscious).
The confession has three parts:
1) I coincidentally thought to mention the BC when I was writing about my "missing father" (there are no coincidences in psychiatry).
2) The certificate was destroyed in a "house fire" so small that it was never reported (i.e., I destroyed it).
3) I hope (my destroying it) will put these matters to rest (you bet he does).
Forensic analysis provided to the rational FR birther community free of charge.
To protect Obama from not having a long form birth certificate, no one has a long form birth certificate.
This would have to be a new development as a FReeper requested and received her long form.

I can not get hold of my original long form but I *can* get a -copy- of it.
The original is kept on permanent record elsewhere.

When Bill O'Reilly recently did a talking points memo on Obama's ineligibility 'myths': to cover up for the lack of BC, BOR said that he recently called Hawaii and they confirmed that they are not releasing the long form BCs for any resident.
I saw him make this statement live on Fox News TV; however, if you go to the website, the transcript TP Memo has changed, but what is weird is that the video is changed, also, and looks like it has been edited when it gets to the BC 'item'.
