Is it possible to change ones username? if so whom do I need to contact? I was a regular poster here for over 8 years but have been away for a couple of years. I tried to register a new username but apparently the posts i posted, from an (apparent) newbie went over poorly (though they were in no way violations of the rules). Within little more than an hour i got a "posting privileges revoked" message.
I have reverted to the old I'd to post the things I wanted to say, and to post this thread. but I would like to reconcile the two accounts if possible. since all the posts on the new ID were deleted, the most obvious solution would be to change the name on this account (this would also avoid the impression that I was a "newbie")
However, I can't find any link for where I can discuss this with an admin, publicly or privately. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Don’t think I can help since I never took a sabatical and obtained my name change after petitioning those from on high during the NES peak season. I was told then that granting my name change on the fly was pretty much a rare occurance.
That had to leave a mark LMAO!

When I wanted to change my name, I just opened a new account.
I would drop an f-bomb to get the moderators attention. That way the lines of communication would open up real soon. :-)

I suspect that your lack of proper capitalization has a lot to do with it.
Posters who write properly, after a number of posts, have
options (buttons below the posting field) to do a number
of things that illiterates are not able to do.
I’d suggest you try to pay more attention to what you
write and continue that effort. After a while, fantastic
options will be opened up to you.
You can change your username, but be prepared to have people call you “Newbie” for the next six years.
Why do you not like your original name?
