Is this from the desk of Michelle Obama? Say hello to Weimar Germany or Argentina! Stock up on beans, rice, coffee, canned goods, freeze-dried and preserved foods, as well as ammunition and silver.

Food is the next gold. Pretty soon we’ll be hearing Gordon Liddy saying “Now that’s the sound of food!”.

Stick with chicken. At the start of the year, the USDA said it expected beef prices would rise 4.5 percent to 5.5 percent this year. The new forecast is for a price jump of 7 percent to 8 percent. And its not like you havent already been paying up, as beef prices are already 12.2 percent higher than they were a year ago. If youve got a yen for pork, thats going to cost you more as well. The USDA has changed its 2011 forecast of a 6 percent price hike for pork to a new expected range of 6.5 percent to 7 percent. Over the past 12 months, pork prices have already increased 11.2 percent. And fish are running now.

The seasons right for a veggie garden:...
You are right about this being out of Moochele's master plan. They even talked about steaming you chicken instead of frying. WTF. They can cram it. I am surprised this lib hack didn't bring up dumpster diving to cut down on waste to the land fill.

"Alferd Packer, you voracious, man-eating, son-of-a-bitch. There were seven Democrats in Hinsdale County, and you ate five of them." ..... Allegedly said by District Court Judge Melville upon sentencing

But there’s no inflation... if you don’t count food and energy... and anything else you may buy...

“What You Can Do”?
Bring fuel cost down! Allow oil companies to build newer refineries. Cleaner more modern. But the leftist aka progressive treehuggers will not allow this.

Eat Less and exercise. Works every time. Especially when you have to catch your food.

Lots of feral pigs in Texas. Neighbor has chickens. Brother is probably going to put a few feeder calves on his property. Garden is going great. I've got green tomatoes bigger than a silver dollar (a real one), and as of yesterday, tiny squash and zuchinni fruits in large numbers. The squash and zuchinni plants themselves have been growing great for the last month and about a meter across. The beans are growing stupid fast, and the sunflowers are close to a foot tall. We'll have salad greens in a couple of weeks.
Prayers for a good year and good harvest.
I will be spending less than $20/wk for groceries in less than a month.

I like chicken. I like turkey. I am raising both right now. Buying a milk cow and a bull calf this summer. Butcher that calf in about 18 months. In the meantime a friend going through a divorce is giving us an upright freezer for free so I might as well put a quarter beef and half pig from the butcher shop into it. It’ll set us back a bit in the short term but if these prices continue higher....it will be well worth it.

Stick with chicken We were never stuck on chicken. Chicken lay our eggs anyway. Why eat them?
We are being indoctrinated about inappropriate food. Since political correctness was such a success for the Liberals believe they can restrict freedom diet with out passing a single law.

I already announced months ago to the fam that we’d be eating a lot more chicken and pork.
The beef is getting really “bounce-y” anyway, and I am talking Costco beef, which is supposed to be decent quality. Old recipes (swiss steak, roast beef, beef stroganoff) are not making the meat very tender anymore. It’s just plain tough.
Also, I don’t pre-plan what veg to serve with dinner. I wait until I get to the store and get what is on sale. For example we had broccoli (79 cents a pound) instead of zuchini (2.99 a pound!) tonight.

Like every other Banana Republic.......rice and beans con pollo for the lowly Proles. Telling that the Ministry of Truth gave the story the Regime’s official stamp of approval.
