– Documents obtained from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service through a Freedom of Information Act request offer evidence that President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii.
A memo dated Aug. 31, 1961 from William Wood of Immigration and Naturalization Services indicates that Barack Obama, Sr., was attending the University of Hawaii on a student visa and that a son, Barack Obama, II, was born in Honolulu on Aug, 4, 1961.
The memo refers to Obama Sr.’s plans to attend the University of Hawaii for one more year to obtain his bachelor’s degree in economics, and that his spouse, a United States citizen, plans to work at the university. “They have one child born Honolulu on 8/4/1961 – Barack Obama II, child living with mother (she lives with her parents & subject resides at 1482 Alencastre St.),” the memo states.
Documents also show that Obama, Sr. entered the country in 1959, and received several extensions to his visa prior to being denied in July, 1964.
A memo from Lyle H. Dahlim of the INS, written in April, 1961, says the agency “recommend(s) that Subject be closely questioned before another extension is granted – and denial be considered. If his USC (United States Citizen) wife tries to petition for him make sure an investigation is conducted as to the bona-fide of the marriage.”
The wife is Stanley Ann Dunham, the President’s mother, who married Obama, Sr., in February, 1961.
The documents also show that the CIS investigated the elder Obama as a polygamist, having a wife in Kenya and a “wife and child in Honolulu.” Dahlim’s memo adds that “Polygamy is not an excludable or deportation charge as Subject is a non-immigrant.”
Documents show that Obama, Sr. was denied an extension on his student visa in July, 1964, in part because Harvard University, where Obama, Sr., was a Ph.D. candidate, sought his removal. Obama Sr. eventually left the United States willingly after becoming an illegal alien for remaining in the country past the expiration of his visa.
An INS investigator, M.F. McKeon, wrote “They (Harvard officials) weren’t very impressed with him and asked us to hold up action on his application until they decided what action they could take in order to get rid of him. They were apparently having difficulty with his financial arrangements and couldn’t seem to figure out how many wives he had.”
Documents show that Harvard officials considered Obama, Sr. to be a “slippery character,” and conspired with the INS to have him deported.
Inquiries with the White House were not immediately returned.
The revelation of the handwritten memo mentioning the President’s birth comes as lawmakers across the country grapple with so-called “birther” bills, with Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer vetoing proposed legislation requiring all candidates for any office to produce a birth certificate prior to their name appearing on the ballot. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, however, has said he will sign a similar bill.
The memo indicates that the Immigration Service wasn't sure if the marriage was real or not.
The marriage occurred after the pregnancy. The marriage itself was a fraud (null and void) if for no other reason than Mr. Obama was already married at the time to ANOTHER woman.

I don’t know. I do know that in the age of electronic copies of decades old documents, signatures don’t mean much. They would have been signed in ink.
The Rathergate memo provides justification for healthy skepticism. The same people who looked for inconsistencies EXPOSED genuine fraud.
The forger never has been publicly shamed for his actions. Rather wasn’t the one who made the documents and AP was also pushing the October Surprise (if I recall, Rather moved up the date on his story to beat the press account).
More good news. There is even more evidence that Zero is not a Natural Born citizen.

It is an overt forgery... no doubt... but the SCOTUS and the republican leadership will not allow even a whisper about it to echo. Nothing will happen as long as obama is in office... and maybe never.

I think the birth certificate has been manipulated, but it may be to throw us off the track. I think his social security number needs to be investigated pronto. Even before his school records.

This is the second time Smathers has gotten that memo wrong and no one has called her on it. She featured that memo in a jpg in her first article, and still got it wrong twice.

And Mark Levin, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck, virtually every other prominent conservative, etc, etc, etc.. All in on the conspiracy? All suddenly RINO's?
The memo said they didn't even know if the marriage was legitimate. Obama Sr. was already married and there is no record of the marriage. How in the world would some bureaucrat possibly know where Obama was born or if Obama Sr. was the father? This was just a handwritten note with some thoughts by the author. It's general message was that Obama Sr. was not trustworthy.
This is just one more instance of someone claiming an undocumented source is evidence of something.

The two of them could have been legally married in the Coast Province of British East Africa IF Stanley Ann became a Muslim and agreed to it, because in that province, Britain had signed an agreement with the ruler of Madagascar to permit Muslims to be governed by sharia law. So up to four wives were legal.
But IF they claimed to have married in Hawaii, that marriage would have been null and void, because bigamous marriages are not permitted in the U.S. (yet).
As yet, NO MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE HAS BEEN FOUND.
It is possible, in fact, that Obama senior pretended to be married to Stanley Dunham in order to persuade Immigration and Customs to extend his student visa.
So, all this story does is render the whole business even more suspicious.

The immigration Service probably didn't even consider whether Obama may not have been born in the USA, but may have wondered if the child was Obama Senior’s, since they were wondering if the marriage was a sham.

The date on the memo is August 31, 1961 and says that Obama’s spouse (Stanley Ann) was living with her parents in Hawaii. Both Maxine Box and Susan Blake have stated that Stanley Ann was in Seattle in August of 1961. Mr. Wood did not even bother to check.
The handwritten note is useless as far as information content and only shows in combination with other documents in the file that Obama Sr. was dishonest and untrustworthy.

Absolutely fascinating read! And did you see he worked for Dole Corporation as an Ordinary Summer Worker for $1.33 per hour for one month or so? It is clear he and Ann never lived together, and you can see from the map I posted he was near the University and she with her parents (or at least the address on the newly-released LFBC) some distance away. Fascinating!! I saw the Philippines mention, and without checking dates, I thought perhaps it was someone writing after a conversation and mistook it for Indonesia. You know, the spouse left and went to some really foreign strange place. Again, thrilling reading (we must be bored, huh?). There is another form where he lists a child’s name as ROY OBAMA (page 27)!!!

Ann’s passport info said she married Lolo in 1964 before she was divorced in one application.

The person who went to London appears to be someone from Kenya who came to the US. Then went on some mysterious trip to England.

I saw in the file where the happy couple supposedly was married on the island of Maui,Hawaii on Feb 21,1961.
Also I didn't know that nonimmigrant students could get SS numbers. Obama Sr's was 575-44-4342.
