That is the most dangerous part of all of this - the idea that Bin Laden’s death has somehow eliminated or even significantly diminished the threat of Islamic terrorism in the world. It hasn’t. In fact, over the short-term, it may have increased it.
Bin Laden had to be killed because justice demanded it and because the world needed an example. Terrorism on the scale we’re concerned with isn’t a product of one man, but of states.
