There is no way Pakistan assisted the U.S. military operation of killing Osama Bin Laden. The Pakistani government is condemning the U.S. for entering its country. The army chief warned the U.S. that it will jeopardize their so called relationship if the U.S. invades Pakistan without their permission. Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir questioned the U.S. mission of violating Pakistan's sovereignty. Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf stated that the Bin Laden raid showed a lack of trust between the U.S. and Pakistan. Musharraf lied to the U.S. about trying to help kill terrorists within their borders. We should have never trusted him in the first place. Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari stated that the mission was not a joint operation. Pakistan did not even know that the U.S. raided Osama Bin Laden's compound until after it was over. It was good that the U.S. did not share any information about the Bin Laden raid with Pakistan before it occurred, or Bin Laden would have been alerted and escaped. The Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) agency and the military run the country, not the president. The entire government and military is enraged over the U.S. raiding Bin Laden's compound, but it is deeper than this. The relationship between Pakistan and Osama Bin Laden most likely goes back to the 1980s when they were fighting against the Soviet Union together.
The other issue with Pakistan is why do we give them $3 billion in foreign aid? Just because they have nuclear weapons and we are afraid they will join Iran's side if we ditch them? Based on the statements made by Pakistan's leaders, they knew where Osama Bin Laden was the whole time. Bin Laden lived in the compound for six years several miles away from military bases and a two hour drive from Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. It was a large compound in a small town. They were never on our side to begin with and they harbored the mass murderer of 3,000 Americans for six years, so why do we keep giving them aid? The Pakistani government is lying and they should pay for it.
The Obama administration has failed to find out what Pakistan knew and didn't know about Bin Laden living there for six years. They are not on the same page with communication. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton came out and said Pakistan's cooperation led to the discovery of Bin Laden. Hillary is lying again because why would the Pakistani government lie when everyone is saying a common message that it was not a joint operation. The Obama administration has not given a concrete answer about why we are giving aid to Pakistan. In the Middle East, Pakistan is one of those countries that needs to be wiped off the map. Pakistan should be added to the list of state sponsored terrorism. The country has been politically and economically unstable for years, and it has possession of nuclear weapons. It is only a matter of time when they would end up in the wrong hands if we do not do something about it.
