Cannabis Lovers Embrace Stupidity
Weekend Libertarian ^ | May 6, 2011 | B.P. Terpstra

“He might look rather pleased with himself in this picture - but it's likely he regrets posing for this snap now,” reports the Mail Online, UK. “For when police raided the home of drug dealer Darren Ellis, 35, they found this photograph of him holding up his stash of cannabis.”

Also, in stupidity-related news, the Herald Sun, Australia, reports two “women are due in court today on cannabis possession charges after one of them repeatedly set off a metal detector at an airport in New Zealand, allegedly leading to the discovery of foil-wrapped cannabis in her bra.”

Talk about stupid: “The woman, 52, had 50g of the drug in 28 individually wrapped packages in her underwear, police told The Southland Times.”

Not to be outdone, however, one father-of-three “growing cannabis worth almost £9,000 in his attic, had bought the equipment with a £750 crisis loan meant for furniture, a court heard.” The UK’s Lancashire Telegraph reports, “Terence Graham, 30, who is on benefits, had 12 plants and a hydroponic system in the loft space when police raided his home in New Market Street, Colne, last September.”

Yet, cannabis lovers, I’m told, aren’t stupid. They’re just misunderstood.

Woodstock Alzheimer’s

The hard medical research informs us that brain issues and cannabis love to walk hand in hand, unfortunately.

Sounds like you're willing to enforce your belief about drugs, a minority belief by the way, at the barrel of a gun.

Are you willing to do so when a barrel or more are pointing back?

I think a majority of thinking Americans see the eradication of meth, heroine and the like as worthy endeavors at the barrel of a gun.

But it's darn certain that a majority of thinking Americans do not support the eradication of pot at the barrel of a gun.

Therefore, you'd have to gather up your own private team and "take a shot at it".

I would sooner support the death penalty for those who would attempt to "confiscate all wealth associated with users".

I know a bunch of them. Lots.

They built and now maintain the internet. They likely built the building you're sitting in right now...to include electrical and plumbing.

They probably built the car you're gonna drive to Home Depot tomorrow.

I’ve already seen the results of so called social drug use and we see how well it spreads in Mexico, Afghanistan and so forth.
Jail the dealer. Eventually give them the death penalty and they will stop aiming at our country for nimrods who want to do drugs.
Yes, confiscate the assets of recreational drug users useless it is for a cancer or some such thing.
They almost never clean up.
They cause us a ton of crime and cost.
So collect the assets and give a user the strong message that if you want illegal recreational drugs, go find an island.

And, most of the pot stores in Sacramento give disabled vets their medicine for free, or at substantial discount.

And, there's probably at least 50 pot stores in Sacramento...more of them than Walgreens.

I suggest you go stand out on the street corner with a sign advocating such. You might be able to get people to change their ways.

But in any case recreational drug users are losers and a drag on our society and a bad example for future generations they pollute.
I can see some terminal person using it, but that is it.
The dealers for Osama, Mexico cartels also get rich and take action on taking over other countries due to the American recreational drug user.
These lost liters need to be stopped.
They are in your prisons for violent crimes.
They infect youngsters.
They almost never can get straight after rehab and destroy eventually all around them.
They should do us a favor and get loaded then swim a mile. The damage to the country, the generations lost, the governments toppled by funding of narcos by users is a horror.
We don’t need the dealers or users that aren’t doing it for a terminal disease.

The best part about potheads is that they think everyone is a pothead. It’s part of the psychosis, “it’s not a bad thing to do because EVERYONE does it!”

I’ve known a lot of potheads too. The one common trait all of them have is that they stopped maturing the day they started smoking weed.

There has been some talk here in Michigan about strengthening the requirements on giving or receiving prescriptions. Eventually the laws will refine to the point where you won’t be able to get a prescription without going to a real doctor who risks a malpractice suit for wrongly prescribing it.

Then idiots like my niece who haven’t got anything wrong with them won’t legally be able to get it anymore.

"How about you get a real doctor’s report and hold the pot mill doctors accountable for their BS?"

My father went to a "pot mill doctor" to get his prescription. He had lingering bouts of PTSD as a result of his experiences in the Hadong Ambush with the 3rd Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment in 1949.

He asked REAL doctors from the time the law was passed, but they wouldn't touch it. They wanted him on Valium and/or SSRIs.

Weed gave him perfect relief and a pleasant, functional life. He continued to use it once he contracted Pancreatic Cancer and again, it helped him cope to his last day.

And, the local pot stores were more than accommodating to his limited means.

In your world he would have all his belongings confiscated and the producers/distributors shot.

You keep your world and I'll keep mine.

Don't come into my world with your ignorance. It won't play well there.

I am for the death penalty there too, so long we nuke also nations knowingly allowing the export of drugs to our nations. I am tired of being told to be suspicious of this or that person in terror cases when our government vouches no suspicion against Islam or enemies like RUssia and China.

The problem of the war on drugs is that the co-increase in drug usage cannot be explained other than by corruption.

So, should we also nuke US States who do nothing to prevent the export of "drugs" to other states?

After all, CA grows about $25bil worth of pot every year and it's not all being smoked here.

To top it off, no state agency is doing anything effective to prevent this massive export trade.

Every drug dealer and user should be made to carry around the head of a decapitated Mexican for a year. Then, after a few years, when they quit having the night screams, they’ll better understand the idea of cause and effect.

You took my note out of context and completely reversed what I was saying, because in it I never advocated denounciation of Americans, let alone nuking US states simply because corruption and cowardice on top would be too happy to promote that BEFORE going after the big guys abroad.

As far as I am concerned, yes, as a father, if someone came to push drugs on my kids, I would gladly shoot their face, and that is the way I want my country to do it too. That is the guist of the story.

But my right to defend me and my family from thug pushers and squatters of my dignity and integrity is annihilated by the libertarian free drugs mantra that is way over the top and ultimately pro government in its interference and bleeding heart mentality.

I'd say that every Harry Anslinger wannabe should do the same and get the cause and effect firmly implanted in their mind. Then they should ask themselves how many decapitations have occurred over the legal tomato trafficking business.

Thousands of years of being an alcohol based culture worked out pretty well for western civilization, thousands of years of being cannabis based has made the cannabis based world, (such as the Arabs) seem weird, grubby and off a degree, just like pot heads that we all know.

Often times you can see a kid instantly take on the way of the cannabis brain worm when he starts using pot, like a pod person, he becomes different from the normal as he melds into the matching personality of the others that use pot.

You drug war zealots are not only out of your damn minds, you're useful idiots for Big Government. Drugs are bad!!!! Give us as much power as you possibly can and we'll protect everybody from drugs!!! Never mind about those blatant infringements on the Constitution, and pay no attention to the number of dead innocents from our no-knock raids. We didn't know we had the wrong address when we tossed the flash-bang in.

How is that escalating drug war working out for us? Are we safer from the scourge of drugs now that government has such power? If you answer "yes", then you haven't been paying attention. How did our country survive for one hundred and fifty years or so before Big Daddy Government made drugs illegal and started protecting us from ourselves?

Oh so that’s why leftwing socialist Europeans and liberal Californians embrace the “US Constitution.”

First, of all this is an international issue.

Second of all, and in any case, where in the US Constitution does it say taxpayers must fund potheads addicted to welfare?

Third of all, are you aware how much of a tax burden drug addicts are? Give them a moral lesson, not some good cop who is keeping scum off our roads.

Hey, guess what. We in the United States of America are quite content to let other countries handle their issues as they see fit. In our country, however, we have a set of fixed laws and a Constitution which limits the power of our federal government. I know a lot of foreigners don't understand that concept and think that it is just fine and dandy for their big government to ask its subjects to bend over for every whim and fancy that crosses their bureaucratic minds, but Americans, the real ones, don't take kindly to a bunch of know-nothing politicians telling them how to run their own lives. So, I'll be damned if I care that you think this is an "international issue" that entitles every ignorant yahoo in the world to dictate domestic policy to the US. Ruin your own country, bub.

Quite frankly, you reflect poorly on Australia.

The best part about potheads is that they think everyone is a pothead.

Yes, and all their conversations eventually come back to babbling about weed and how it's better than alcohol. I have noticed that potheads are expecially bad at mathematics. Regular weed smoking must fry the brain cells that do computations with numbers and symbols and such. Potheads are also dangerous. They will smoke pot while abroad in countries that have strict penalties for drugs (like Korea)... and claim they "aint hurtin nobody it's jest a bit of herb". If they get caught, though, all their non-pothead friends would get arrested, interrogated and probably deported... by why should the fate of friends worry a pothead?
