Cannabis Lovers Embrace Stupidity
Weekend Libertarian ^ | May 6, 2011 | B.P. Terpstra

“He might look rather pleased with himself in this picture - but it's likely he regrets posing for this snap now,” reports the Mail Online, UK. “For when police raided the home of drug dealer Darren Ellis, 35, they found this photograph of him holding up his stash of cannabis.”

Also, in stupidity-related news, the Herald Sun, Australia, reports two “women are due in court today on cannabis possession charges after one of them repeatedly set off a metal detector at an airport in New Zealand, allegedly leading to the discovery of foil-wrapped cannabis in her bra.”

Talk about stupid: “The woman, 52, had 50g of the drug in 28 individually wrapped packages in her underwear, police told The Southland Times.”

Not to be outdone, however, one father-of-three “growing cannabis worth almost £9,000 in his attic, had bought the equipment with a £750 crisis loan meant for furniture, a court heard.” The UK’s Lancashire Telegraph reports, “Terence Graham, 30, who is on benefits, had 12 plants and a hydroponic system in the loft space when police raided his home in New Market Street, Colne, last September.”

Yet, cannabis lovers, I’m told, aren’t stupid. They’re just misunderstood.

Woodstock Alzheimer’s

The hard medical research informs us that brain issues and cannabis love to walk hand in hand, unfortunately.

Sounds like you're willing to enforce your belief about drugs, a minority belief by the way, at the barrel of a gun.

Are you willing to do so when a barrel or more are pointing back?

I think a majority of thinking Americans see the eradication of meth, heroine and the like as worthy endeavors at the barrel of a gun.

But it's darn certain that a majority of thinking Americans do not support the eradication of pot at the barrel of a gun.

Therefore, you'd have to gather up your own private team and "take a shot at it".

The title could be the entire article. Have you ever known a smart pot-head? Not coffee-shop ranting smart, but functionally smart.

What the hell kind of communism are you promoting here? Eh? I'm dead serious. What kind of "conservative" would advocate such a thing?

I would sooner support the death penalty for those who would attempt to "confiscate all wealth associated with users".

I know a bunch of them. Lots.

They built and now maintain the internet. They likely built the building you're sitting in right now...to include electrical and plumbing.

They probably built the car you're gonna drive to Home Depot tomorrow.

I’ve already seen the results of so called social drug use and we see how well it spreads in Mexico, Afghanistan and so forth.
Jail the dealer. Eventually give them the death penalty and they will stop aiming at our country for nimrods who want to do drugs.
Yes, confiscate the assets of recreational drug users useless it is for a cancer or some such thing.
They almost never clean up.
They cause us a ton of crime and cost.
So collect the assets and give a user the strong message that if you want illegal recreational drugs, go find an island.

And, most of the pot stores in Sacramento give disabled vets their medicine for free, or at substantial discount.

And, there's probably at least 50 pot stores in Sacramento...more of them than Walgreens.

Time to put tons of hurt on scum dealers and the pathetic users. (Real cancer patients and the kind of this an exception of course)

Well, it's apparent your opinion has no political traction.

I suggest you go stand out on the street corner with a sign advocating such. You might be able to get people to change their ways.

and each and everyone of these space cowboys has one lingering problem. They can’t remember a thing. Natural achievers perhaps yet hobbled. Such potential wasted on self-indulgence.

But in any case recreational drug users are losers and a drag on our society and a bad example for future generations they pollute.
I can see some terminal person using it, but that is it.
The dealers for Osama, Mexico cartels also get rich and take action on taking over other countries due to the American recreational drug user.
These lost liters need to be stopped.
They are in your prisons for violent crimes.
They infect youngsters.
They almost never can get straight after rehab and destroy eventually all around them.
They should do us a favor and get loaded then swim a mile. The damage to the country, the generations lost, the governments toppled by funding of narcos by users is a horror.
We don’t need the dealers or users that aren’t doing it for a terminal disease.

The best part about potheads is that they think everyone is a pothead. It’s part of the psychosis, “it’s not a bad thing to do because EVERYONE does it!”

I’ve known a lot of potheads too. The one common trait all of them have is that they stopped maturing the day they started smoking weed.

I don’t have any issues with real medical marijuana use but the lying disgusts me. In the end, the lying will be what ends the legal medical use.

Bitter I’m not some loaded piece of trash? We all can’t be pro drug use libertarians. Some of us don’t like crime, killing kids and destroying nations.

Is “Cannabis” the Latin term for “Obama”?

If so, the headline of this story is spot on.
