social libertarianism? WTF is that?

look, I didn’t like McCain but Rudy stepped down to be annointed this turns GOP candidate by the party bosses. Romney is there because he donated heavy sums to most of the congressional districts last fall. its party politics at its worst, but that is what is going to happen.

people also forget that NYC has a weak mayor. Rudy had to manage a 90% democrat council to get his way.

it is just amazing that so many on this board still don’t understand how the GOP machine works.

Rudy Giuliani is pro-abortion, pro-gay rights, pro-sanctuary cities and pro-gun control. This disqualifies him from any consideration whatsoever from this pro-life, pro-family, pro-liberty conservative web site. There will be no campaign for Rudy on FR. If you wish to support him, you’ll have to do it elsewhere. Same with Romney.

Speaking of the "GOP machine", are you aware that Governors Christie and Walker are supporting Daniels for 2012? No mention of Romney or Rudy from either of them.

I did see that. That will help Daniels tremendously in image, but the machine doesn’t have to win popular opinions. They only have to win IA, NH, and SC. I don’t like this game either, btw. I think states should rotate primary schedules every election. Why should Iowa and New Hampshire get the honer every year?

Rudy is a leader and a pure politician. Something the GOP candidate will need to be. Rudy’s record is one of running NYC as a weak mayor with 57 out of 60 strong council seats being extremely left wing. You and this board might not understand that, but that’s why you will never have your perfect candidate. Rudy was also pro Reagan before it was popular, but keep living in the extremes and you will always be extremely disappointed.
