In an interview with CNBC’s Jane Wells, rock n’ roll singer Gene Simmons slammed President Barack Obama on his proposal to weaken Israel in support of the Hamas-Fatah alliance.

“How about you live there and try to defend an indefensible border?… He has no f**king idea what the world is like.”

From the Right Scoop: 12/2010

Gene Simmons is honest enough to admit that part of the reason he voted for Obama was that it was ‘historic’, that he wanted to show the world that our ugly past of slavery and racism is, well, in the past and that we’ve got no problems electing a black man to run the greatest country in the world. And I think if others were honest, they would admit the same.

However, he has since come to his senses and now admits that he regrets it, which I respect:

Indeed.

I left off attribution but President Reagan said it. The precise quote:

“Those with the most to lose, did the least to prevent its happening.”

Unfortunately for our country masses of people wanted to get on that bandwagon. No thought about how the zero guy would run and ruin America, and that Zero had absolutely no administrative experience, and had a Marxist/socialist agenda. People who bought into the "racist" guilt just wanted to "feel good" about riding themselves of being uncomfortable for something that they never should have felt bad about anyway.

I bet the majority of blacks here never had ancestors who were slaves. Blacks in droves have been coming here for almost a century voluntarily from Africa and various islands, and they nor their children ever had to suffer slavery. The debt was paid to the slaves when white soldiers fought and died in the Civil War.

For crying out loud, how long do white Americans have to pay for a handful of slave owners who used them wrongly? It is not as though the whole country had slaves. I am sick of this tired, old complaint that has blossomed into creating a standard of "entitlement" among people who are now much better off than any of their relatives in Africa where suffering is the norm and far worse than slavery ever was in America.

Well, I am surprised that people are surprised, but on the other hand, the only other choice was John McCain....not exactly an inspiring alternative for those in the mushy middle.

Sadly I think we are on the road to the same kind of election....not that any of the GOPers are going to do anything worthwhile anyway. None of them will roll back the massive expansion of government since 2001.

You’re the first person that has written my thoughts down regarding the slave issue in such an exact way.

I’ve done little research on the subject but for years I always felt that there were only “a handful” of slave owners. The way the issue is presented though you would think every white man in the country owned slaves; which is ridiculous. Another part of the slave issue that rarely gets mentioned is the fact that their own people in Africa rounded them up and sold them. I really wish I could find a FACT based account on slavery with actual numbers and statistics.

As far as the dimwits that voted because of ‘guilt’ that thought process never even occurred to me what so ever. It’s a foreign concept to me and not in my wildest dreams did I think people voted that way; but I’ve heard and read so many accounts of it that it must be true. Even my DIL told me just last week that friends of theirs that were in college at the time, said that is why they voted for the marxist. BTW those kids were homeschooled and conservative.

Of course he does. It's made of limousines and jet planes and ice cream cones and rock concerts and buffalo burgers and, well, you get the picture. Obama's world is a land of sunshine and lollipops.

I can’t believe Gene Simmons voted for Obama! You had to be blind and living in your own little world, Gene, not to have seen he’s a Marxist! I’m so sick of RINO’s!

See just one reference to slave trading The Origins of the African Slave Trade The practice was established far earlier in Africa and European countries than the U.S. ever began using Africans for slaves. One of the largest users of black slaves were the Muslims!

Our problems in America are not so much because of slavery as they are because of how blacks were treated after slavery was abolished. And that treatment was not limited to the southerners...the Yankees are just as much to blame in their discriminations when the slaves fled and relocated in northern towns and cities where they could not find jobs or be accepted into society.

I am against discrimination of any sort, and will fight it... but I refuse to feel guilty about the early slavery practices of a small percent of plantation owners over a hundred years ago. There were far more and still are more black slave owners than white Americans.
