Please don’t let those remarks hurt you. That person has a history of lashing out at people for loving their elderly, disabled or dying family members. He/she/it was particularly hateful toward Terri Schiavo and her family. It periodically shows up on pro-life threads, trying to demoralize, and spewing vitriol at anyone who defends vulnerable people. So rather than being hurt by those remarks, you really should wear them as a badge of honor.
Have a blessed Memorial Day.
“He/she/it was particularly hateful toward Terri Schiavo and her family”
Really? I don’t ever recall participating in one of these threads. You have no link (you didn’t last time either) that shows me participating in any Terri Schiavo thread as you say I did.
Your friend has her feelings hurt because she doesn’t realize it wasn’t personal - it was emblematic of the topic of the thread - and why water is prescribed as medicine in UK hospitals.
If you’re going to deny making personal attacks, you should try to get the evidence removed first. In this case, even that won’t be enough, because too many of us already saw the posts.
If you think I’m going to stand back and watch you hurt innocent FReepers for your sick entertainment, you’re even dumber than I thought.
You recast, invent, and fabricate to attempt to support your desired level of outrage at the time. I only respond to you when you directly lie. But really, you should at least try to make your responses vaguely thread relevant.
What did you think of the subject of the thread? Do you think that people who simply “wonder” whether people they care about are getting proper care are part of the reason why water must be prescribed by doctors in the UK? I do.
Just go down to the welfare office and see where our resources are going. Walk into any school and see the illegals who are getting free education. Go into any prison or police station and see the resources being thrown at crime in this country. Go into any hospital and see the percentage of illegals (and prisoners) getting dialysis and transplants ahead of the rest of us.
We have the resources.
We just need to get our priorities straight, and decide that the people who built this country in their working days have an absolute priority on resources over the permanent underclass and the illegals.
Yesterday, it became too obvious that my elderly mom could no longer live independently in her apartment, so we set her up in what used to be my office in my house. She said repeatedly that she would rather die than go to a nursing home. My daughter spent some time as an EMT and saw the conditions when no family are there.
Absolutely.
