Obama’s ineligibility: Prepare for the fall
Canada Free Press ^ | May 30, 2011 | Lawrence Sellin

Posted on 05/30/2011 7:40:28 AM PDT by Ordinary_American

The United States is in a Constitutional and political crisis without precedent.

What can ordinary Americans do when a large number of politicians are corrupt and an even larger portion of the national political leadership is complicit in a cover-up of that corruption?

Do we petition those leaders to investigate and punish themselves?

(snip)

The evident bewilderment displayed by Will is prima facie evidence of the depth of denial now prevalent in Washington, D.C.

It is an equivalent to writing an article after the Pearl Harbor attack entitled “The Japanese might not like us.”

(snip)

Having been born in Panama and not eligible to run for the Presidency, McCain obviously doesn’t recognize the Constitution either.

For me, the uncertainty about McCain’s ineligibility was resolved by the bogus, non-binding Senate Resolution 511, co-sponsored by Obama, which declared McCain a “natural born citizen” and, therefore, eligible for the Presidency.

The fact that Congress has no authority to do such a thing was apparently completely irrelevant to that majestic body. Maybe I’m a cynic, but it sounds to me like just another crooked, backroom deal.

If McCain and Obama both didn’t need the “cover”, why go through that elaborate Senate charade?

My Pastor said Sunday that that if some Godless group got a law passed to blast God’s name off of our national monuments, he would personally travel to DC and stand in their way.

He does not recognize this happening every day in small and large ways?

It just seems to me that the issue of two American citizens, one of which is active duty military, serving on foreign soil under orders from the Commander in Chief, the President of the US would be automatically and logically a natural born citizen.

The Panama Canal Zone was a U.S. territory until Jimmy Carter gave it away. He was born on U.S. Soil, not that it makes any difference.

You have more faith in the MSM than I do. I don’t see them objectively turning on the Messiah when even to them it becomes clear that he’s a fraud. They have invested too much of their prestiege (what’s left of it) in his “success”.

Yeah...it’s partly ideological...look how they’re covering for Weinergate...but there is more at play...I’m beginning to think some of them are being paid off. At least in terms of access.

Look at O’Reilly. He continues to cover-up Obama’s fake Connecticut SS #; and he continues to get WH access. Billy doesn’t need the money, but he does want the power. For others, I think it’s a straight financial deal. $1,000 here and $5,000 there.

They can be bought cheap, especially early in their “careers”.

We are seeing what removing real civics lessons from our schools reaps.

Exactly.

"NOT born in the US and is therefore NOT a natural citizen."

MCLAIMS Father was an Officer in the US Navy. MCLAIM was born in a Naval Hospital. Therefore he was born in the US.
Case closed.
If you are talking about ZERO? Who Knows?

In defining an Article II “natural born Citizen,” it is important to find any authority from the Founding period who may inform us how the Founders and Framers themselves defined the clause.

I hate to post and run, but I'll make an exception today. From James Madison:

"It is an established maxim that birth is a criterion of allegiance. Birth however derives its force sometimes from place and sometimes from parentage, but in general place is the most certain criterion; it is what applies in the United States; it will therefore be unnecessary to investigate any other.
Note that James Madison is called "Father of the Constitution."

I thought Hitler was elected at some point. And yes the Government/Media Complex is the problem along with an indoctrinated electorate. I doubt it can be reversed. But hope it will.

I’m still hoping Netanyahu will run. Then we would see who would have “standing” to say he couldn’t. I’d vote for him, though.

Netanyahu is a foreign national and a foreign head of government. As such he has no alleigance to the United States and would be a grave threat to national security and sovereignty. You're nuts.

So the children born overseas of our brave servicemen and women should not be considered natural born citizens? What a way to repay our warriors!

Chief Justice Waite, in Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162 (1875), stated:

“The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens.
Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that.
At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar,
it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also.
These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners.
Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents.
As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first.”

Interesting article about the BC stamp.

Miss Tickey on the debossed seal 2008 colb

***The question has always been whether or not the seal that appears is “raised.”***

The Hawaii Department of Health (HODH) regulations state the seal used to legally certify copies of vital records must be a “raised“ seal...

You are way too serious! My point is Netanyahu would be way better for America than Obama is. Do you really think I believe Netanyahu can run for president of the U.S.?

Colon, Panama was not in the Panama Canal Zone which itself was only a small part of the independent nation of Panama. McCain was born in a private hospital in Colon and his birth certificate which he proudly displayed says so.

Purists hold to the meaning that NBC status is inviolate including the exclusion of the son and grandson of a four star admiral serving his nation abroad. The territory between purists and those who merely (and incorrectly in my view)demand that an NBC be born in the USA irrespective of parental citizenship is a minefield of collateral arguments and literature challenging such present notables as Sen. Rubio and Gov. Jindal both of whom were born here to parents who were welcome aliens at the time.

With Obama, the Rubicon has been breached on both demonstrable birth location (the bruhaha over faux birth certs) and parental status. So the NBC issue girl is not only pregnant but she is pregnant and overdue by 3 years, the time since Obama's nomination.

Yet apart from a few million (?) of us who believe that the Constitution matters, the formal opposition, the GOP, has vigorously stonewalled the issue and to borrow your phrase, 'not that it apparently makes any difference.' It may be too late to remove Obama for his ineligibilty, but is it too late to save the Constitution?

Obama, I guess. You know you should at least read up on who or what determines Natural Born Citizenship. Hint there is more than one requirement, also read the law at the time the person was born.

You are confusing “citizen” with “natural born citizen.” Not the same thing.

Yes, McCain is a citizen, regardless of where he was born, and regardless of whether his parents were in the military. Both his parents were US citizens, and so by Congressional statute he is a US citizen from birth. But that statue is valid solely due to the Constitutional grant of authority to Congress to make rules regarding the NATURALIZATION of citizens.

But to be a “natural born citizen,” the facts of one’s birth must provide no NATURAL claim by any foreign power that the child is a subject or citizen of that power. That means you can’t be born on the soil of a foreign power, and neither of your parents can be claimed as subjects or citizens of a foreign power. That does the best job that can be done to try to prevent the President from having any foreign affinities, loyalties or allegiances.

He is NOT eligible and never was.

He was born in Colon, Republic of Panama, in Colon Hospital.

This makes him a Panamanian citizen. Because his parents were U.S., this makes him a dual citizen if he also wanted to take on a U.S. citizenship.

Just because his father and grandfather were both four-star admirals doesn’t give their brat any extra rights.

Agree. I snapped on Fox over the suppression of Corsi’s book and Hannity cancellation. It does not bother me if people disagree but cannot handle suppression and censorship. They also are AMNESTY PUSHERS.
