U.N. Agreement Should Have All Gun Owners Up In Arms

It may not come as surprising news to many of you that the United Nations doesn’t approve of our Second Amendment. Not one bit. And they very much hope to do something about it with help from some powerful American friends. Under the guise of a proposed global “Small Arms Treaty” premised to fight “terrorism”, “insurgency” and “international crime syndicates” you can be quite certain that an even more insidious threat is being targeted – our Constitutional right for law-abiding citizens to own and bear arms.

At the risk of sounding like a rube, I must ask:

Is that real ? I haven’t been to New York in years.

One day, I fully intend on acquiring that abomination and melting it down to build some nice rifles.

Do you mean Carcano? Never heard of a Marcano. I like the Carcano it is what Lee Harvey used, I have one from my grandfather, sweet.

I type, therefore I misspell. Yep. Old school bolt action, Italian fascisti made Carcano.

It’s a family heirloom. I’ve shot it a few times and shot a tight group with it.

Yeah I figured on the misspelling, but did not want to miss out on possible additional gun info.

Illinois Legislature Leaves Good Citizens Defenseless Against Brutal “Flash Mobs”
Mon Jun 6, 7:45 pm ET

CHICAGO, June 6, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The following was released today by the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA):

For the second weekend in a row, visitors to Chicago’s posh Gold Coast were terrorized by so-called “flash mobs.” For the uninitiated, a “flash mob” is a violent group of dozens of young people who are directed to specific locations by smart phones or social media sites for the purpose of robbing and beating unsuspecting citizens.

On Memorial Day, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel ordered the very popular North Avenue Beach closed. Although the official position of the city was that it was “too hot” for people to be on the beach, indications are that the beach was closed because a flash mob was roaming the lakefront attacking unwary beachgoers.

What a coincidence it is a classic style American revolver!

If they were interested in stopping war or terrorism that would be an AK47.

There is one unannounced candidate who would unambiguously tell the UN to go pound sand on this issue.

While I would certainly hope she would... how do you KNOW that she would? I have yet to see a US politician actually take an anti-UN stand in my lifetime.

Did you ever think that if you unraveled that barrel it would be absurdly long? It’s made to look like a Colt Python, notice the adjustable sight, the ribbing, and the full barrel underlug. Pistols have been made with barrels that long, but not with the full underlug, it would just be too heavy.

Yep. It’s a real statue commissioned by real Communists in the UN.

All too real. Google it.
So is this one...

It's called "Gun Sculpture"
.
I call it "Resistance is Futile" for obvious and not so obvious reasons.
Hot linked.

It's bronze. You might plate them...

Twisted Gun
United Nations Sculpture Garden, most notable for the "twisted gun" sculpture, one of the most photographed spots at the UN. This sculpture was a gift from the Government of Luxembourg presented to the United Nations in 1988. It consists of a large replica in bronze of a 45-calibre revolver, the barrel of which is tied into a knot. It was created in 1980 as a peace symbol by artist Karl Fredrik Reutersward, and is located in the Visitor's Plaza, facing First Avenue at 45th Street.

It's no coincidence at all. It's design was fully intentional.

"Non-Violence" (a.k.a. "The Knotted Gun")
When the artist learned that his friend, John Lennon, had been murdered, he became so upset and angry over this senseless death and the many other outbursts of unnecessary violence that he went to his studio and started working on the “non-violence” project.

Lennon, however, was shot with a

.38-caliber pistol
.
You can't "knot" a snub nose.

At the risk of sounding like a know-it-all, I must ask:
Do you know about the "ark"?
Ark of Hope

The Ark of Hope

The Ark of Hope, a 49"(124.5cm) x 32" (81.3cm) x 32" (81.3cm) wooden chest was created as a place of refuge for the Earth Charter document, an international peoples treaty (UN Documents - Earth Charter) for building a just, sustainable, and peaceful global society in the 21st century. Visit - www.earthcharter.org - for complete information on the Earth Charter. The Ark of Hope also provides refuge for the Temenos Books, Images and Words for Global Healing, Peace, and Gratitude.

Yeah, that’s the answer, let the little punks win.

It’s disgraceful when government feels this need to punish everyone for the actions of a few.
