Imagine if Ronald Reagan was back on the political scene.(No, not his dorky son!) We’d be super excited, knowing that his leadership skills and personality could help turn America around. Well, for me it’s the same thing with Sarah Palin. I’m enthused b/c she is savvy, moral, extremely bright and she has cunning political wiles. Plus, she is a true leader.
This doesn’t mean that I agree with her about everything. Her support for Title IX is misguided, e.g. But frankly, I don’t think that any of the others possess the skills needed in our perilous times. What she did in Ak. is stunning, and I want to see that same skill set on display in Washington come 2013. Sarah is an AWESOME American, and we need her desperately. Bob

What’s wrong with you? These were some tweets from conservatives who bought the negative media narratives about Sarah and were skeptical of her because of it - if anything, Sarah needs to reintroduce herself to the base, not that they don’t like her (her favorables is in the 80% range right now) but to show the real Sarah and that she is the real deal who at ualky did something and is Presidential material for the primaries and then next comes those who are independents or don’t know much about Sarah at all other than what they heard, that will be done by the DVDs and watch parties where that will be effective. Buzz creates a urge to watch

I think the ultimate BIG idea is to get it DVDed across the country for watch parties, friends and neighbors. Get people to the movies to create a buzz about how its a must-see and when get people to own it for themselves.

I don’t watch Jon Stewart, but, from what little I have seen of him, I regard him as both intelligent and passionate. Did not read the thread, but I saw something here about Stewart’s criticism of the hype over the email release. Wouldn’t it be nice if that was a turning point for him and caused him to really examine his political beliefs?

I remember remarking, years ago, that I thought comedian Dennis Miller was brilliant and that it was a shame that he was not on our side. Lo and behold, now he is. Stewart, with his following and with his creative genius, could do a lot to further pro-American thinking. Prayers up that this fellow will investigate the truth.

In fact SarahPAC just announced that they will give a free DVD of the movie for a certain donation - so this will be in the hands of Sarah supporters coming this fall to show to friends and family and build her base even more

Here’s a perfect example of the Palin Zombie Syndrome. Your response is to:
A) Brand someone as “brainwashed anti-Palin” for no valid reason.
B) Use a Palin catchphrase.

I don’t think this film was meant to preach to the choir and provide Palin die hards with affirmations.

Okay, I can see that....if the film was just screening at events like Right Online, but it’s not, it’s playing to a limited audience at a national cineplex chain, which suggests they have a wider audience in mind.

My reaction is to those who find tweets from the base as validation. We’re not talking about Palin’s base, but the GOP-Conservative politics machine base. The best way to win those people over is to come out strong on issues, perform strongly (Bachmann example), or mostly, hire them or their friends as consultants. People who bought into the media hype against Palin have no soul to begin with.

FWIW, I just listened to this week’s mushy-middle ‘center right’ Ricochet podcast, and longtime Palin basher Rob Long came around to her defense for being tough, smart and compassionate as a chief executive per her 24K pages of emails. (They also had an old Bush speechwriter on who had prompted the defense by slighting her intellect, however.)

Right, it’s going to be a while before those people will come out in support without the need to qualify it first.

These are the same people who said stuff like “I know Palin had nothing to do with the Arizona shooter, and she’s not to blame, but don’t you think she should admit some responsibility?”. Their brains are pickled. Plus they’ve been waiting years for it to be even relevant again to bash Palin. They’re not going to give that up easily...but she can win them over.
