Skip to comments. The Stuuuupidest Bumper Sticker Ever
Posted on 06/18/2011 2:21:20 PM PDT by EricTheRed_VocalMinority
Yesterday I parked at a Starbucks and while walking to the place noticed a car (no, it was not a Prius) with the stupidest bumper sticker ever. Actually it had two: The first was that COEXIST one which is also stupid. Because the problems we have today aren't because of Christians fighting with Muslims fighting with Jews fighting with Buddhists fighting with Shintos fighting with Zoroastrians fighting with athiests. The problem is freaking Muslims and left-wing socialist-Marxist secular-"progressive" athiests.
But I digress. The other bumper sticker was the real stupid one. It said, "It wouldn't kill you to learn Spanish."
I took Spanish in high school.
I learned enough to now what the creeps behind me are saying and can speak enough to p*ss them off and possibly get me killed.
If I planned to move to a Spanish-speaking country, I certainly would. But I live in an English-speaking country.
It wouldn’t kill you to go back to Mexico.
I seen the same one but on her car the other sticker was “supporting a woman’s right to choose”. Volvo sedan.
>>>”It wouldn’t kill you to learn Spanish.”
It wouldn’t kill them to learn English either.
And it’s rather hard to coexist when one particular religion wants me to convert, pay them to be left alone, or die. I will not submit... so, there’s only once choice left for me in their holy book.
Same here. I speak enough Spanish to keep them off guard. Once coming out of a 7-11 near where I live(and the Mexican illegals hang out) I had one looking at me kinda funny so I said in German “Guten tag, schissekopf!’’(Good morning sh!thead!’’) Man did he look at me weird!
Learning a foreign language makes your brain stronger. Like learning math, or learning a musical instrument.
But I don’t think that’s what they meant. :)
God do I love diversity!! : - D
To have both of those bumper stickers on the same car makes it especially ironic.
For those in Rio Linda: Coexist means “doing what it takes to coexist”. That means that in the US a person who did not speak English and was serious about it would, as their first act, learn fluent English.
“On a truck back window today I saw a decal that said, Infidel, and then the same word under it in Arabic.”
I have two shirts that have the same thing printed on them. However, my understanding is that the Arabic portion reads “Down with Allah” or something to that effect.
In any case, if this offends someone, then though shit.
I like it, too!
Need to get one for my truck! It’ll fit right there with my “9MM Beats 9-1-1 Every Time” and “IMPEACH OBAMA” stickers.
You capisce Yiddish? Vaffanculo
I’ll try and one-up you: the stupidest bumper-sticker I ever saw was “Pavement Is Forever”
How do you say that in “Austrian”? ;^}
I speak, read, and write French as they wont allow you to graduate from HS in canadastan without it. I learned Japanese forcefully because my job depends on it. If there ever was a new language I would learn it would be Mandarin, as the Chicoms will be the new enemies of the country.
Spanish? Just like that Beavis and Butthead episode, the only thing I care about is burritos, nachos and of course, kulos’ and tetas.
I’ve been plotting to get a whole bunch of bumper stickers printed up that say: “Yes, I’m an Idiot!” Then when I see an Obama sticker, place one of mine beside it.
Of course, I’m a coward & will probably never do it. But I wish someone else would! :-)
No it wouldn’t kill me, but I’m not learning a foreign language in order to converse in my native country.
That being the case, why do we need to spend so much on our aging and crumbling “infrastructure”? Might be something to ask the owner of the bumper sticker, eh?
It wouldn’t kill me either, but the first person that tries to force me to learn a foreign language may have a problem.
How’s about “It wouldn’t kill you to learn English. My parents did when they came to this country LEGALLY.”
A native German-speaker would probably have also given you a double-take. The word would be "Scheißkopf," and though it would definitely be understood that you were trying to be insulting, that isn't a fixed expression in German, just as my quickly consulting my German->English dictionary and calling you a "duck-squeezer" or a "currant-crapper" wouldn't make much sense to you (an "Entenklemmer" is a tightwad, while a "Korinthenkacker" is an anal-retentive, bureaucratic, or niggling person), though I might still get beaten up for my trouble.
No te mataría a aprender Inglés.
"It wouldn't kill you to learn Spanish."
aka "The Language of the Kitchen". English today is the Language of the Boardroom.
(While Mandarin will be the language of the Boardroom tomorrow)
I have 2 on my Tahoe right now. One is a small yellow oval that is from the Texas state rifle association. The other one says: YOU CAN ALL GO TO HELL AND I WILL GO TO TEXAS a quote from Davey Crockett. I have seen people reading that one and then giving me a dirty look.
I knew what I was saying, trust me. I know enough German.
The 'illegals' normally don't speak 'Spanish'. They speak Mexican and South American dialects that contain some Spanish words. If you spoke to one in 'Spanish' they most likely would not understand you.
I lived in South Texas for several years and had a good friend that spoke fluent Spanish. He couldn't understand them either. I also had a friend who immigrated from Mexico. He admitted that he couldn't speak Spanish.
Liberals are just stupid and don't know it. They shouldn't be in charge and probably shouldn't be allowed to vote.
I could have said ‘’arseloche’’ too, (a-hole in German).
I spent five months in 1985/86 going full time to a Spanish language class. I then spent most of the next 12 years living in Latin America. I was at the 4-level when I left Cuba in 1997, and now, living in south Florida, I have no excuse for letting my ability lapse. I DO enjoy listening to them rattle on and not suspecting that I understand a lot of what they’re saying.
There’s a sticker that says in Arabic “I will not submit” in large calligraphy with the transliteration underneath (”Lan Astaslem”).
It means of course “I will never switch to Islam”.
Now if I can only find one to go with my Teutonic Knights Crusader cross lapel pin.
BTW, “No te mataria a aprender ingles!”
As an native born American I would expect Guest who come to my country to visit to speak english just as we would be expected to speak a foriegn language when we’re visiting there.
Don’t come here demanding that I learn your language. If you can’t take the time to learn english get the hell out and goto whatever country you came from.
This is espechially true of people who are coming from South of the Border.
I have one and, thanks to you, just ordered two more at opsgear.com. They’re on special for $11.99!
Speak our language or live in a country that speaks yours... that's called "respect"
We could use some old knights’ heraldic shields on tee shirts. They would make colorful, intriguing conversation starters. Knights Templar come to mind.
Where is this lady, I want to sue her for emotional distress. You see, I have a very rare disease - Latilingudeccum, which means, if I learn more than 100 spanish words.... (sob)..... I DIE.....(SOB)
I can speak Spanish....”Julio Inglesias” - all a girl needs, really.
