Perry pilloried for pandering to La Raza

TX governor panders to 'The Race' Chad Groening - OneNewsNow - 7/21/2010 5:20:00 AMThe head of a grassroots borders enforcement organization says it's completely inappropriate for Texas Governor Rick Perry to speak to a radical Hispanic organization that supports granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. The Republican governor recently addressed a crowd of 1,800 members of the National Council of La Raza, which calls itself the largest Hispanic civil rights organization in the United States. Critics, however, point out that La Raza means "The Race," and claim the organization is nothing more than a Hispanic supremacist organization. One of those critics is William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC). "It's completely inappropriate for anybody, much less an elected official, much less a governor of one of our most populous states, to speak to such a racist and Hispanic supremacist group like La Raza," Gheen contends. He also has a serious problem with Perry's statement to the group that he does not support Arizona's get-tough border enforcement law, which is being challenged by the Obama Justice Department. "[President Obama] pretends to care about border security, when in actuality he is a servant of the people [and is] responsible for the opening of our borders, responsible for the flood of illegal immigrants, the invasion of our country," the ALIPAC president laments. "Many of us, myself being one of them, hold him accountable for all the damages that have been caused by illegal immigration because of his faction's open-borders policies." Gheen remarks that it is unfortunate the mainstream media has mostly failed to report on Governor Perry's criticism of the Arizona law, a measure that polls show most Americans support.

lol

I know your scared that Perry will destroy your boy Obama, but do you really have to keep posting all these ridiculous articles?

Face it, if Perry decides to run he will destroy Mittens and then Obama, and there is nothing you can do about it.

If I were a democrat I would be fine with Perry. He can be bought easily.

Avoid speaking at racist conferences, be it the KKK, La Raza, the NAACP.... In fact, avoid all hate groups, like Islam, the DNC, NOW, unions, liberal professors....

Well, we don’t have to go back to Perry’s comments on the Arizona law, relevant as they might be. If he enters the race. we now have new laws in Georgia, Indiana and Alabama that I can think of, and probably more states.

All candidates should be asked whether they support such initiatives by various states to deal with the illegal alien problem. It would be interesting and very relevant to learn if Perry still opposes such state initiatives.

PERRY: "may be right for Arizona but it ain't exactly right for Texas."

Perry is for Perry, a lose cannon, will say what he wants just to please the crowd in front of him, sorry but I don't trust the man, he's the political equivalent of 'The Donald'!

It’s all good. This is what once was called vetting. The media used to do it.

I was channel surfing this afternoon to see what the leftists on MSLSD were saying. Chris Matthews was disgusting. It was disgraceful the way he tried to destroy Perry. He was definitely scared of the Texas governor going up against his tingle up the leg Obama. It was fun to watch.

Let’s take a look at the people Perry has chosen to support over his long long career as a serial pol: LBJ, Jimmuh Carter over Reagan, Al Gore over Bush I, Rudy Giuliani, and John McCain. Yet we’re supposed to believe this hack is a principled conservative???

The election of Perry to the White House would be a HUGE mistake. The DREAM ACT would be a whole new threat and we know Perry can be bought.

Can you imagine any real, deeply principled conservative who remained a member of the national Demonrat Party for most of his life, and opposed Ronald Reagan? Can you believe that a sincere, convinced evangelical Christian would have backed "abortion rights" advocate Rudy Giuliani over all the candidates available? Even before he moved far left, Al Gore was a palpable sociopathic liar who never held a real job in his life, and flunked out of divinity school and law school, yet Rick Perry was his campaign manager!

Perry talks conservative for the same reason he panders to La Raza: because it keeps him elected in TX. Don't be dumb and naive, folks.

Naw, it’s campaign season. Perry would not have a problem with a tough immigration policy until a couple of days after his inauguration.

"Rick Perry is true to conservative principles even when others think the party needs to go a different direction. I like that about him: he doesn't care which way the wind blows, he acts on his beliefs. That's why I am supporting Governor Rick Perry for re-election," Palin wrote.

The Republican governor recently addressed a crowd of 1,800 members of the National Council of La Raza

Yeah, that's it, lets support this guy...

We saw Perry giving speech recently...This guy is as phony as they come.

After watching, I was pretty stunned any conservative would actually support this person.

The alternative would have been worse than Perry, if you can picture that.
