we need to understand how they ‘think’ or we’ll never make any headway.
they don’t see left and right, they see ‘normal’ and evil/extreme. all the ‘normal’ people think like they do. everyone else is evil/extreme.
that’s why i wish Chris Wallace had asked a simple question that would have shined a strong light for everyone to see.
the question? “so, John, who do you consider to be on the left?”
“actually denied that CNN, ABC, et. al. are not politically biased”
Which, by negating a negative, actually says that they ARE politically biased. I didn’t hear Stewart’s actual words, but I would guess that the writer meant the opposite but Freudian slipped the truth.
Even the good guys rarely ask the obvious followup question.
