Half of Americans want Congress to probe Obama's eligibility
WND ^ | June 26, 2011 | Bob Unruh

Half of Americans would like to see Congress investigate Barack Obama's eligibility for the presidency and nearly that many believe the definition of the constitutional term "natural born citizen" means both parents must be U.S. citizens, according to a new scientific poll.

"There's no marginalizing those who want this matter investigated by Congress," said Fritz Wenzel of Wenzel Strategies, who conducted the WND/Wenzel Poll telephone survey June 16-19. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.85 points.

"Even among Democrats, more than one in four – 28 percent – said they now want an inquiry, as do 43 percent of independents and 77 percent of Republicans. Interestingly, men are much more skeptical than are women about the question of eligibility – only 42 percent of men said they think Obama proved his eligibility by releasing the electronic birth certificate, compared to 59 percent of women."

The poll indicated 43.5 percent of Americans believe that a Hawaii birth would make no difference in Obama's eligibility, as the Constitution requires both parents of a U.S. president to have been U.S. citizens – and Obama's father was not a citizen.

The figure included 56.9 percent of the GOP, 40.2 percent of independents and 32.9 percent of Democrats.

The eligibility saga, as Wenzel noted, has taken on a life of its own. It began with questions about Obama's birth place and parentage before his election. At that time, he released a computer image of a "Certification of Live Birth" from Hawaii and insisted it was original and the only document available.

“It’s more of a rant than an explanation but it’s the straight up truth.”

I'll give you my own rant. Trying to explain how the end result of actions by our political left has been the deaths of millions and impoverishment and misery of tens of millions more is an exercise not unlike beating ones head against the wall. All that they touch with their supposed do gooding generally results in catastrophe.

The examples are so numerous. I was taking a hazmat chemistry class a couple of weeks ago. The teacher showed us the chemical formula for DDT. Everyone in the class was aghast at the evil of the substance. This is despite the fact that DDT is one the most effective and one of the least dangerous pesticides ever discovered. My wife has pristine uniforms that were treated with DDT decades ago. We won't have them cleaned because there is nothing more effective for long term moth control. Banning DDT caused a resurgence in insect born diseases that have caused horrible suffering and the deaths millions of people mostly children in third world countries. This doesn't even take into account the thousands more who have been injured or killed by the misuse of the far more hazardous pesticides that replaced DDT.

Then we have this global warming scam that has diverted millions of acres of productive farm lands to producing biomass, mostly corn for alcohol production. Even Al Gore admits this has been a waste. This operation costs billions in taxpayer subsidies wastes billions of gallons of fresh water, and consumes more energy than the alcohol produced contains. Worst of all the resulting shortage of grain has doubled the price which results in increasing starvation and misery to vulnerable populations in third world countries.

I could go on and on. Socialism and Communism have resulted in the deaths of untold millions of human beings and increased poverty, misery and wasted the potential of billions more lives. Yet they continue to be able to spread their propaganda with impunity and suppress the truth about the results of their actions. I am hopeful that the pendulum will swing back and common sense will once again prevail. Unfortunately we seem to still be on the wrong path.

The only question I have is, when Wenzel talks, do Farah’s lips move...

I would have no problem if you attacked the poll, the poll internals, or the process.

Instead, leftist that you are, you do the Alinsky and attack the people involved.

Your posts are childish and tiresome -- although you undoubtedly believe you're a really clever boy.

In the wildest inane machinations of your wild birther imagination, you cannot imagine how little I regard your nonsensical opinion of me. Keep on birthin'!

“Many persons fifty and older can remember being taught what it meant to be a Natural Born Citizen in school.”

If this were actually the case, it should then be a relatively simple matter to produce a civics textbook from the era with this information.

Yet I understand that no one has been able to do this.

There’s a simple explanation for why they can’t do that. The Obama Administration clearly destroyed all the incriminating civics textbooks more than fifty years old. And then they used their time machine to go back and change the definition of Natural Born Citizen in all civics curriculums for all Americans who are younger than fifty.

Because I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that the only people who claim to remember being taught a ‘Two Citizen Parent’ definition are the same people who have been out of school the longest. And it’s just happenstance that they all forgot about it during the two year campaign only to suddenly “remember” it weeks after Obama won.

Unfortunately, it is one of one of those memories from school that needs an event or someone to trigger it before it comes back.

I'm kind of surprised that a guy who wrote a bestselling book about his Kenyan father and later went on to run for President didn't jog some memories earlier.

Here are the oponions of two Adobe “experts” Both declare Obama’s “long-form” birth certificate fraudulent.

The first is Mara Zebest, a nationally recognized computer expert, who has served as contributing author and technical editor for more than 100 books on Adobe and Microsoft software says the Obama long-form birth-certificate image released by the White House is a fraudulent document created with Adobe software, saying:

“The PDF file released by the White House contains evidence of manipulation suggesting that one or more forgers utilized existing Hawaiian birth certificates to assemble fraudulently for Barack Obama a document the president presented to the world as authentic.”

http://www.wnd.com/files/Obama_LFBC_Report_final_draft.pdf

The second is Gary Poyssick, an early employee of software giant Adobe System Inc., who maintains there is something “fishy” about the Obama long-form birth certificate released by the White House.

“What the White House released is not a simple scan,” Poyssick said. “Something digital came between the paper and the glass.”

Poyssick was at the San Jose-based tech company when it counted no more than 14 employees, and he continues to advise and write on Adobe software products

Poyssick has written more than 50 titles about Adobe software, the printing industry, coding and programming, website development and workflow management.

His initial reaction was to declare the birth certificate an outright forgery.

But, you, of course, are more qualified to pontificate on this matter than they, and I’m sure you will have some of your usual venom for them, as well.

I can tell you from personal experience that it is not such a s”simple matter”. I have tried to find civics text books from the era when I went to school. I haven’t been able to find any at local book stores, Amazon, or other internet book sellers. Unfortunately, few people or schools seem to hold on to old civics text books. Why don’t you find a few old examples and “prove” your point.

I just bought a 1915 edition of “Advanced Civics - The Spirt, The Form And The Functions Of The American Government” off Amazon for five bucks. I should have it in a week. A 1907 edition is still available.

I also found a 1908 edition of “Essentials in Civil Government: A Textbook For Use In Schools” on Amazon. Same author though so I don’t expect a different POV. There are three more available if you want one.

You don’t happen to be related to the Freeper stand watie, do you?

An Amazon search on the author Frank Magruder turns up numerous civics texts and books on American governance printed in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s.

“American Politics” by Alexander Johnston (mid 1800’s) looks like it might be good reading. Amazon appears to have some reprints and a Kindle copy of the original as well as 1800’s editions available.

No idea if it addresses NBC issues. It just look interesting.

Amazon alone has truckloads. Too many to buy them all. I’ll start with the two I bought and see what they say.

Another potentially good one:

“Civil Government in the United States Considered with Some Reference to Its Origins” - John Fiske

Could you try again... when I looked for the book you mentioned this is the result I got on Amazon, “Your search ““Civil Government in the United States Considered with Some Reference to Its Origins” “ did not match any products.” When was it published?

Please give me the names of a couple of the “truckloads” of civics textbooks that you found available on Amazon which were published in the 50s 60s or early 70s. You must be much better at searching amazon than I am.

Oh I also looked at all the books listed by John Fiske... I didn’t see any textbooks from the 1950s, 1960s or early 1970s listed. Why don’t you try to just give me the name to one textbook availabe on Amazon from the “truckloads” you found. Thanks!

OK are you speaking of the John Fiske who died in 1901 or the John Fiske who started writing in the late 1980s. I don’t see how either of them relate to the “truckloads” of Civics Textbooks that people of my generation might have studied in school.
