Tearful Glenn Beck Describes How He And His Family Were Attacked In New York Park
Mediaite.com ^ | 06/28/11 | Jon Bershad

Posted on 06/28/2011 5:09:48 PM PDT by MissesBush

These people were some of the most hateful people I have ever seen,” said a distraught Glenn Beck this morning as he described an altercation he and his family had last night while watching a screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps in New York’s Bryant Park. Explaining that a group of people yelled at his family, took pictures of them, and kicked a cup of wine onto his wife, Beck said that his security team feels that, had he reacted poorly, things might have “gone off.” “I swear to you I think, if I had suggested, and I almost did, “Wow, does anybody have a rope? Because there’s tree here. You could just lynch me.’ And I think there would have been a couple in the crowd that would have.”

Beck took particular exception with Gawker (he didn’t name the website although he clearly described this post) for posting pictures of his family.

And if you asked any of these nutballs to describe exactly why they hate Beck, you'd get either blank stares or incoherent ranting in return. They'd say stuff like "...uh...uh....Fox Lies!!!" .....and "well, he, uh, is against the poor! (without being able to back up that allegation, of course). ....and "he's pro-war!!" (which really proves they never watch him). Most libs don't know why they hate conservatives; they just know they do. It's all emotion, driving by the propaganda which they swallow whole.

I was born and raised there...got out for good 20 years ago. Even as a native I felt the hate, and that was long before conservative radio, the internet, etc. The state and local governments go out of their way to show their displeasure with those who aren’t orthodox liberal drones. The universities are Marxist havens, including the Catholic institutions.

I like Beck sometimes, but he is such a drama queen at times.

If the left was sooooo virtuous, why do they act so violent?

Because, like two year old children, they lack the ability to present, debate and defend their positions. So, just as toddlers do, they react by lashing out.

It doesn't matter that he is Glenn Beck or that he is a drama queen.
Why should ANYONE be subjected to "The Lord of the Flies" just because they are conservative?

Ive always thought a Obama, Pelosi, Reid, M.Moore etc could much more safely walk thru a “conservative stronghold” without any problems at all........

vrs. a Beck, Rush, Palin walk thru a Liberal sewer such as Hyde park, NYC, San Fran, ..........

Its the Mob mentallity, the propensity for violence that permeates the Left wing thru History-—from Stalin, Lenin, Hitler Mao, Che’ up thru present enviro wakos’

........all willing to use violence

That would be a great idea. Move out and let their tax revenue fall even more.

June is national gay pride month.

What exactly is it that they are proud of? I'm not sure I understand.

Yeah, it's one thing seeing him shed a tear once every blue moon when talking about the greatness of our country. No real problem with that. But weeping about something like this is just lame. He needs a meeting with Don Corleone.

Well Mr. Beck, it’s about time to suspend your disbelief that this could happen.

I would ask why they hate his wife and kids. And I would then ask why they target his wife and kids.

Yeah, that's the interesting question. No doubt you'd get an ends justify the means type answer or something along the lines of "well, the politics he advocates victimizes women and children, so his wife and children are fair game".

Yeah, I know what you mean by Boston. When I visited, you had to go with a group of people, and look like you couldn’t possibly be that talk radio personality, but that was about ten years ago. Oh yeah, and I was also warned not to wear a shirt for a team other than the Celtics or the Red Sox.

I was warned on my visit about 11 years ago, but I did get to see the historical sites from the American Revolution so rock on!

The chick who kicked the wine on Glenn's wife

Is she in the pictures on Gawker? The one with the big ass?

No Flames from me...

And we have better weather, too.

If LA, SF and Sacramento all fell into giant sink holes and disappeared forever, that alone would probably tilt the scales enough to make California a conservative majority state.

You knew you were picking one, so you got it..

You could not possibly be more accurately describing your OWN home state.

I feel that the worst, most perverted and truly mentally ill people live in California. In Southern California, the stupidity, self-hatred (the worst kind!)and idiocy on constant display via in public behavior by the common populace is unmatched, even by Parisian standards.

In the North, well... nuff said. Bay Area should make anyone on this site, simply explode.

A$$holes know no borders, state or otherwise, but you wanted a fight so I’m always more than happy to defend the greatest city in the world.

L.A. wow, WHAT A JOKE! You know a bunch of houses and homeless Spanish people don’t constitute the definition of a “CITY”, right?

A city has big buildings, public transportation systems that work reasonably well (albeit expensive), NO POOLS, business and industry that produce real tangible products and spread wealth (not just garbage left wing motion picture propaganda).

And, there are a reasonably large amount of conservatives here.

Out of the ‘right type of people’, people that live here- (defined as a; professional, husband or wife, non-government $ taking citizen, voting citizen, non-governmental employe, etc, etc, etc you know the drill), there are large amount of conservatives.

I hardly meet anyone in NYC that any reasonable person would take seriously that at least isn’t moderate if not right leaning... and I meet a lot of people via my job and activities (like softball, which we lost in Central Park today by only 1 run- grrr) and have lived on the UES for the last 8 years, as well as growing up in NJ right outside the city.

I don’t remember what he said but James Gandolfini said something to Glenn at some broadway show and immediately apologized for saying it in front of Glenn’s son.

It must have been pretty bad for a liberal to realize they had stepped over the line.

Yeah, it's bad like that, too. Just like wearing anything but an Ohio State football shirt in Columbus. Complete strangers will serenade you with profanity.
