NEW: But Its Still a Phony Budget: The SacBee provided details of some of the changes that supposedly balance the budget. One is $200 million Amazon online tax enforcement. They actually think they can heist this money even though Amazon has promised it will fire the affiliates some 20,000 small Mom and Pop outfits that would be taxed. The tax would only affect those who use Amazons sales engine, not buy directly from Amazon itself (direct sales are ruled by federal law which isnt changing). But there were no reforms in the Brown/Democrat budget no spending cap, no pension reform and no regulatory reform. (Katy Grimes: CalWatchdog.com) says: In the governors budget plan, government grows by nearly 27 percent over the next three years. And while state revenues are expected to be $7.4 billion higher than anticipated, Harman pointed out, The Governor and Democrats have made no accommodations for that revenue windfall other than to spend it
. Where is the austerity in that? What really needs to happen is a blend of massive cuts to the states gargantuan social spending programs, a spending cap put in place, and a balanced budget one without accounting tricks, carryovers into future budgets or realignment games. Until lawmakers can produce a legitimate budget that doesnt rely on revenue hopes, tax increases and the ongoing government growth and expansion, California voters wont believe a word they say.

leftists are still in denial
Let’s face it..Gov. MoonBeam and the Dems are beholden to the UNIONS, minorities and every other hack group relying on the govt. mothers milk.
No guts to make the cuts... Why does Ca. need a massive ‘Air Resources Board?
This gimmicky budget is like applying band-aids when drastic surgery is necessary to cut out the cancer.
Incompetent boobs at the Insane Asylum in Sacto. Expect more mini-crises along the bumpy way.
$200 million Amazon online tax enforcement. ????
They will just cancel all the Amazon affiliates in Kahleefawneeyuh.
There are more than 10,000 businesses, that’s people, who rely on Amazon for their lively hood.
Not bad nOOb...
Guess Amazon will move to Texas or Florida along with a lot of other businesses out of California. Democrats never learn.
Still phony? I’m shocked!
