"Look at yourself if you want to see a nasty piece of work."

Touche. Boy, that was a real stinger.

Bachman looks good in those pictures you posted. The other night, however, she had on these false eyelashes and they looked just awful. I couldn’t understand why she was wearing them. They kind of cheapened her look.

Oh, looky! A newer version of Megan McCain!

Since Bachmann is about a decade older than Palin, and has been in a major Public office considerably longer, then it would be more accurate to say that it is Palin who has “stolen” Bachmann’s look.

But here we go, more attention seeking from where it is now expected.

Sorry to respond to this so late.

I believe that there are some topics she should address and some topics she shouldn’t.

If the media start asking her questions about politics and candidates, she needs to tell them those are not two areas that she is prepared to comment on. “If you would like to talk about my book, or the charities, unrelated to politics or candidates, I’ll be happy to talk about it.”

She set herself up for this by making comments in the book. Her mother should have made sure those comments didn’t make it into the book. Does she really want Bristol being mired in political commentary? Really?

Thanks Ansel12.

She did fine, and she is perfectly justified to speak on the campaign, her book is the same, it is her story and the bits that mention 2008, are a part of that, she was there and has her own experiences.

We haven’t read the book, but I am guessing that it will be a positive for conservatives and our causes that she is an activist for.

I haven’t seen her mired in any political commentary.

“Why is she even being asked about this?” ejdrapes

“It is not clear from the article that the reporter is the one who raised the issue. In fact, the reporter seems to disagree with the assertion.” rob777

Do you for a second assume that the reporter wouldn't ask the question with the headline and resulting fervor in mind, and then take whatever answer she got (a much less dramatic one 4sure) and then present it as something Bristol possibly brought up on her own?

When they don't include the question or context it seems obvious that it was the result of a set up question.

The only “correct” answer to such a fishing (for an article and a headline) expedition is “I think she looks and dresses wonderfully!” and maybe throw in “But I think my mom looks and dresses better!” with a wink.

That wouldn't have been a story.

Only a wrong answer makes for a story.

Sorry Ansel12, I don’t think Megan McCain’s opinion amounts to a hill of beans, and I don’t think Bristol’s do either.

Just because their parents are political figures, it doesn’t make them a sage, or even someone I car hearing one thing from on such matters.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree.

The difference is that Bristol has a responsibility to speak out, she has to do it, and the media dragged her into the public eye, Bristol is now a leader inside the conservative movement, she represents causes and charitable organizations, and she even represents her company BSMP, a lobbying, public relations and political consulting services firm.

Bristol is doing more than offering opinions, she is a hired spokeswoman and formal representative of causes and organisations.

Ansel, if all of that makes sense to you, I’m going to bow out now rather than press you further.

Take care.

Of course it makes sense, what do you want her to do, give up her work, and go into hiding?

Ansel12, if you think Bristol is qualified to be a leader of anything, you’re delusional. If she is raising the visibility of some charitable organizations, fine. If you want me to believe she’s qualified to be an image consultant, you’re wasting your time.

Bristol is operating at an appropriate level of leadership, for conservative causes.

Bristol’s conservative efforts are geared to her own age group, you are no conservative if you compare Bristol Palin’s conservative leadership and efforts in advancing our causes to Meghan McCain’s efforts against us.

Is this what occupies your man time, attacking 20 year old, conservative, prolife/abstinence, youth leaders?
