You could follow the simple rule that anything The Nation advocates for, I should be against. But wait, there’s more. Elizabeth Warren is a dishonest person. In testimony last year, before passage of the healthcare bill, I watched her claim that something in excess of 50% of consumer bankruptcies were caused by catastrophic medical expenses. She has developed a reputation as an expert on consumer bankruptcy law, which then carried over to her supposed ability to regulate consumer financial transactions. Anyone with access to the case level details of a large number of consumer bankruptcies can tell you that while medical debt may be present (and thus discharged) in over 50% of bankruptcies, it's far from the cause of the bankruptcy filing in the majority of cases. When I saw her testimony I realized what the financial industry is concerned about and I understood why Obama could not appoint her to any position which requires Senate confirmation. All the more reason for a clean sweep in 2012. Send Elizabeth Warren back to Harvard Law!

What's wrong with my title? It's my title, not the article's title. I posted a link to the article so people could read and get informed. Did you even read the article? Here are quotes:

According to Americans for Financial Reform (AFR), a coalition of consumer groups, “The CFPB has authority to write rules affecting mortgage down payments and disclosures, loan modifications, credit card rates and fees, bank overdraft programs, credit score usage, and eligibility for student loans, credit cards, pre-paid cards and more….[and] to impose fines on companies, require restitution (repayment) to aggrieved consumers, rescind consumer contracts and/or file lawsuits against firms that violate its rules.”

In part because it’s one of the strongest aspects of Dodd-Frank, the CFPB has become a favorite target of Republican attacks, right up there with George Soros, ACORN and Planned Parenthood. It’s been called “one of the greatest assaults on economic liberty in my lifetime” (Representative Jeb Hensarling) and “the most powerful agency ever created” (Representative Spencer Bachus).

I have no problem with the title, but the rules are that you post with the original article title because it eliminates double posting of an article. The Admin folks will not approve, I have had them corrected before, and it makes sense. If you want to add something to the end of the title that is OK, but not rewrite the title
